This is a great interview with Uzo Aduba. It includes season 2 spoilers so STAY AWAY if you haven't finished the 13 eps.

More Uzo, this time without spoilers.

Uzo talks to Vanity Fair. Nice video interview.

Yael Stone talks about Lorna's backstory. Suffice to say, if you haven't watched ep 4, DO NOT CLICK on this link. Uh... stay away unless you've watched the ep where Lorna cries in Nicky's lap, on the stairs.

    "Best Friend" potential?????

Don't even try to understand the rules by which they include "this" character but not "that" one. BE WARNED, it has lots of season 2 spoilers BUT on the bright side I SO AGREE with number 1 & 2.

Believe it or not, the Daya character wasn't considered a "regular" on the show until now.

I was gonna tell you this should be your sig but then I thought NO. NO. I refuse to believe she spent 7 years in self imposed captainly virtue.

Teacake, did you or Capt Kathryn notice...

in the last ep, Piper saying how her mother told her "8 months in the new prison" she was being transferred to, wasn't too great a hardship?

Does that mean she ISN"T getting more time for her perjury, or that they just haven't tried her yet on the new felony?

ETA: Don't forget Janeway's 3 week affair on that planet with the worker shortage.

As to the time.. who knows. I don't see how she is necessarily going to be done for that because she basically said she doesn't remember because, love.

How quickly we forget slippery, slimy salamander love!

Just finished the season, and it was great--especially because of Poussey and Red.

Although we have just received season 2, they have already started filming season three last Monday. The "problem" with dropping all 13 eps at once is that means they have to have all 13 ready when the season begins.

Here's more of the Vanity Fair interview, discussing season 2 spoilers.

I LOVE Poussey this season, and will need to work hard at forgiving Taystee for her actions, not just with her best friend but with Nicky.

I also was totally smitten with Nicky this season. I liked her fine last season but for some reasons she really popped for me in season 2.

I've always had the retention of a goldfish when it comes to fiction.

Actually.. I think I used up ALL my retention powers on TOS. The other day I was at an art exhibit, there was one enormous room with no lights except a huge pile of televisions, all playing in slow repeat different mini snippets from different things. There were like a hundred televisions, mostly the small box kind piled on each other 4 and 5 deep stretching in an oblong shape across the room. So I'm walking around the whole thing, quickly because I want to get to the next part of the exhibit and out of the corner of my eye I see a flushed cheekbone on a small screen on the floor and my brain goes "CAPTAIN KIRK THE ENEMY WITHIN" and I stop and yeah, that's what it was. The freaking side of his face for a fraction of a second in a sea of other images.

All that TOS is still in there, from the days when you needed to remember everything because google didn't exist to do it for you. It is taking up so much space that other stuff just doesn't stick.

Samira Wiley was fantastic. Poussey's backstory was generic, but the actress has an incredibly expressive face.

I appreciated that Piper and Alex weren't the center of attention, and that it was the prison as a whole that was really the main character: how much could one person tear apart a (dysfunctional) community.

And I gotta say it: Rosa brought the cowbell!
