I know you didn't mention Keanu. But I just can't help contemplating such an awful prospect. I did like The Matrix and most of the first sequel but I just don't see them as right for 007.
Honestly I don't either. Broc just kind intrigued me with his above comments. I enjoyed "Speed Racer" as well...it's a guilty pleasure film of mine.

They keep calling it that, but what about the swimming pool pic? I thought it was the first official one?
Apparently the swimming pool picture was leaked. This shot of Craig is the first official picture released by EON. In any event, both pictures have an interesting ambiance about them. I have a good feeling about this film.
Interesting that he seems to be back to the PPK (which none of the UK security services have actually used since about 1974!)
He actually used it all through QoS as well. Though your forgiven for not noticing it since the editing of the action sequences can kind of hide the fact that he's using the PPK. Now this should be taken with an enormous grain of salt, but some poster at IMBD seems to have seen a rough cut of a teaser trailer and posted about it: Source: Skyfall
Hmm...seems rather reminiscent of the scene in Casino Royale (the book), when Bond, in the hospital, confides to Mathis on how he can no longer see his job through the lens of "we're good, they're bad". (Note: in the book, it is Bond, not Mathis, who remarks that "the heroes and villains--they get all mixed up.") Mathis's advice is, "Surround yourself with people--they are easier to fight for than principles. Only...don't become human yourself. We would lose such a wonderful machine." Hmm--kinda gives new meaning to the ending of QoS: "I need you back." "I never left...."
Does it seem odd to anyone else that it is the "rebooted" Bond's third movie in and, if the report is true, he's considering quitting? Especially since they went to such lengths in the previous two movies to establish him as being "new" and/or becoming the Bond we know.
From the purported trailer description, it appears that when the movie begins, Bond is no longer an agent of MI6. It seems like M is trying to entice Bond to come back, at least based on my interpretation of that description. That might explain Bond's beard and the appearance of the Walther PPK.
Which makes it even more perplexing. Perhaps I'm just reading too much into it. Hell, this description might all be false or misconstrued.
Hmm, there seems an awful lot in that teaser trailer considering they haven't been filming for that long...
Yes, I thought exactly the same. It's a little reminiscent of The Dark Knight Rises and how it is rumoured to jump ahead 8 years from TDK, with rumours of Batman having retired in the interim - a mere two movies after he Began! I have some doubts about the veracity of the 'trailer description' (though kudos to whoever spotted and posted it). As has been said, seems to have a lot of footage for amovie that hasn't been filming all that long. Like the supposed script for Man of Steel which recently appeared online, it does sound like something that could be put together by someone who had been keeping abreast of rumours about the movie's storyline and characters.
