This is a short animation of Uhura and Spock making out in the turbolift http://goanimator.deviantart.com/art/TURBOLIFT-LOVE-173075257
Downloaded some new brushes for Photoshop and made this while fiddling around with them: Click to enlarge.
Once the doors open, is there any animation after that or do you just sit there and listen to the song looping endlessly staring at a still pic?
found an Ent-D version of that. Absolutely stunning in my opinion. I wish I had that kind of talent. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4W2OMaTH3o&feature=related
Hmmm, not as impressed myself. It's a lot of work to be sure, someone has spent weeks animating and tweaking models to get the movement and scenes right, but its a bit lacking. I think that primarily it's the very flat lighting that lets it down. With some nice dramatic lighting it would have looked amazing, and made the rather average looking Enterprise model look a lot better. As it is it looks a bit like those machinima movies that people make using Bridge Commander.
I wouldn't call that Enterprise-D model average by any stretch. It was a really good model. The drydock model, not so much. Yeah, the lighting wasn't too great, made it look like it was a 90's tv show. That TMP one though, that was beautiful. On full screen. On my HDTV. Blew me away.
Hell yes, the TMP one is just filled with weapons grade awesomeness. Beautiful models beautifully lit. That is another level above anything I could hope to make. The TNG one was more like a 90's game cutscene than a 90's TV show. Even, unflattering lighting and average models. If you want to see some great Ent-D models swing over to Foundation 3D, some of the guys there are using superb models.
Here's some stuff I did put together while I was on a uniform-kick. Some of it is related that "fanfic" I mentioned earlier. A variation on the late-TNG/DS9 era uniform: Fighter crew uniforms I used the fight-suits from the Voyager episode "Drive" as the basis for these designs, which I've included as a test-pilot uniform (top-right), here: I toyed with the idea of an intermediate uniform equivalent to the early DS9 uniforms. It didn't seem warranted, but here it is anyway: And now something completely different... well a little different.
