He's actually pretty good. That's a hard choice, Michael Boatman or Giancarlo Esposito.

After getting into this season of "24," I find myself very muchly seeing Peter MacNichols as Min Zife...

I think the actor who played President Logan would be a better fit, but that's only my opinion. As always, I encourage my readers to visualize the characters in whatever way makes the story work best for them.

^ That would be Gregory Itzin, who has appeared on Trek several times -- on ENT as Admiral Black in "In a Mirror Darkly Part 1" and Captain Sopek in "Shadows of P'Jem," on VOY as Dr. Dysek in "Critical Care," and on DS9 as Hain in "Who Mourns for Morn?" and Ilon Tandro in "Dax."

I'm almost done with Orion's Hounds and I've finally managed to cast most of the crew.

Vale--Katee Sackhoff (I guess a lot of other people thought of this one too. I did consider Amanda Tapping.)
    Jaza--Rob Lowe
    Keru--Kyle Chandler
T'Pel--Gina Torres (I know T'Pel was actually in the show but I can't remember her.)

I haven't decided on the chief engineer yet. Any suggestions?

I have two problems with those choices:
    1. Jaza is Black. I've used Jessie L. Martin as my "mental actor"

    2. I've always imagined Keru as being more bigger and buffer, more like Adam Baldwin.

I've had a lot of trouble for some reason keeping everyone's color straight. Besides, Rob Lowe is pretty close to Jessie Martin, considering how much he tans. :D

I thought Admiral Akaar was black for the longest time until I saw the Red King's cover. And Bowers is black too!? I was using Rob Lowe for him, as well.

I'm so confused. Tuvok is still black right?

I actually had a mottled, orange-and-grey colour scheme in mind for Akaar, something rocky, and bald, so seeing him looking so human on the cover was something of a shock. The strange thing is that in retrospect, I haven't the faintest idea what the hell made me think Akaar was a bald, orange-and-grey dude in the first place. :o

    Fictitiously yours, Trent Roman

For the longest time I also thought Akaar was bald. I basically imagined him as the white man's version of Michael Clarke Duncan. Imagine my shock when I saw the cover of The Red King.

^ Obviously, none of you guys actually saw the "Friday's Child" episode of the original Star Trek, which was when Leonard James Akaar first appeared. :)

But he was a baby in that episode, so how would we know if he had hair a hundred years later?

Is there some kind of joke I'm not getting here? :p

Actually, given who Zife was apparently supposed to represent, I'm surprised a different picture wasn't used, if you get my drift...

I think, however, seeing the episode would indicate that he is neither black nor orange. :D

Yeah, but I didn't say I imagined him as black. I imagined him as the white version of Michael Clarke Duncan. ;)
