Would you prefer this a s Deep space 9 station?

I voted no. What is the origin of the image? Is this something that was on the show?

I had to vote "no". I loved the look of DS9 from the start, and this just doesn't work for me.

 

Voted no, not because I think it's "ugly" (I don't), but because it looks more powerful. DS9 had this fragile look about it that you could find it easier to believe the Cardassians would just abandon it. This station looks like a brute.

Yeah, Terek Nor has an elegance to it that this station sorely lacks.

And I'm not really digging the "new DS9" on that book cover either.

 

I vote no... mainly because it is not iconic and bold ds9 would be recognizable in a silhouette but that would not be.

 

This is a good point, while the station presented here in this thread looks a lot more functional and 'logical', it's very generic looking. The DS9 we have is visually very unique.
