Just a quick question.... Will all of season 8 be aired before the XMas special, or will there be 6 episodes before and 6 after? I can't imagine them airing only 6 episodes before the special, but no Who for more then half of 2015 also seems a bit off.
It's a single run, which means episode 12 should be on November 8th, barring pre-emption for sports or something. Either way, definitely ending in November.
They have to show all the episodes before the Christmas special if the rumors are true. I can't wait to see the new Doctor, I hope it's not a complete 180 from the past few.
So the season has now been cut from 13 to 12 with 1 X ,as special? If thats the case then I would love to see an Easter Special if the August to November forumla sticks for the future. Would also love an Halloween type episode for late October
We've known about it only being 12 episodes for quite some time. Though, now we know, that the first episode is almost double length, to make up for the missing episode
Funnily enough this week's Radio Times mentions the season as having been confirmed as 13 episodes even though there's only 12... Yeah, the amount of minutes in the season is 13 normal episodes' worth, as Deep Breath is two thirds longer than normal, and several other episodes are a couple of minutes longer than usual. Oddly, they haven't yet confirmed the commissioning of a Xmas special - but it starts filming on September 8th.
