So according to Trek Today, their ashes are going into space again. So they didn't enjoy the first time, or something? ;)

Isn't this the third or fourth time? Why do they keep doing this?

Why do we care what they do with their respective remains? Seems creepy.

Seems pointless taking them up there and not jettisoning their remains.

Whats the point of taking the caskets up, and bringing them back ?

It's just little tubes of their ashes. No caskets.

And they're going back up because the satellites keep burning up. No joke.

    Waste of energy.

...and it comes off as cheap stunt milking a media connection. The remains need to be placed somewhere for final interment.

I think the vials are destined for deep space this time, not just orbit and burn up.

How about the guy who created Bonanza? Do his ashes get taken out on well-publicized horseback rides?
