I like Star Trek, but I like the real world too.

Exactly.

I've seen many comments from fans pondering how cool it would be live in that Hinckley flat. But it's just way, way too much.

I love escaping into the world of Star Trek - heck, I'd describe myself as an obsessed fanboy. But literally waking up and living in an authentic TNG style flat would only diminish the experience of Star Trek for me.

Honestly, it doesn't surprise me his marriage went south - I'm shocked she let him do it at all. My wife would politely tell me to f**k off if I even suggested anything like that!

I have to agree. I think it would be cool for maybe a weekend or so, but, day-after-day? No.

I think this is pretty cool. If he has the money to do it, why not?

Is he the Captain of his ship? What is it called? Are his young officers Academy graduates, or are they still students?

Nice to have in a second basement, but I'd spend more time upstairs.

On a similar note. I'd like to see all space-bridge theme movie sets built into dead malls http://deadmalls.com/

This way, the film set stays intact, as opposed to being torn down, and could be rented out for lazer tag type games--a true working set.

This way, starship bridges would accumulate over time, be rented out, etc.

I was expecting to see a recreation of the bridge of the enterprise D or something.

That window in to space with the ships on display is pretty cool though.
