I broke my skull a couple years ago. I was 31.
Geez! You're lucky yousuffered no permanent damage (apart from posting here ) Did you have to stay in hospital long?
Two days. And then seven weeks at home before I could return to work. It's the cause of the PTSD I referenced in your thread about that. I also could not taste certain foods or smell certain things properly for the last two years, although pregnancy seems to have reset that for me (brains are weird).

Re: Broken Bones!

I've been lucky I suppose, I only broke one bone, that was in Kindergarten. I was going down a slide in the playground, but someone went right after me and slid into me, pushing me off the slide. I immediately felt this intense pain in my arms. I still went through school the rest of the day, told my mom about it when I got home. She took me to the doctor and I had my first and only caste.

Yeah, that's the thing about a caste. You're stuck in the same one your whole life.

Can anyone top 45 years sans a bone break?
Very close to being 45 with no broken bones. I've sprained many joints, have torn and stretched tendons, but no broken bones. Hope it stays that way!

I did manage to break wooden kitchen cabinet with my head once, unintentionally. I guess my head is harder than wood!

I was going to make a similar comment but resisted. The Grammar Nazi thanks you for your support.

Re: Broken Bones!

I've made it to 29 and counting without breaking any. I've had soft tissue damage and ailments instead.

Re: Broken Bones!

{{{{{mari}}}}} I'm so glad there was no permanent physical damage. I can imagine that it must have been very traumatic. I am not sure how I would react to such a severe injury.
I'm surprised and a bit shocked that you got sent home on the third day. In Germany they'd keep you in hospital for weeks with such an injury. You must be pretty tough!
