Chalk those photos up to another case of it being the photographer, rather than the camera, then. Because they give the feeling of really being there.
Photographs of berries and other wild fruits and veggies can be very beautiful and make a stomach growl if the images look just right. Strawberries and grapes, for example. They almost always make me want some of them.
With apologies to Kestra () here are some shots of roses in our garden. They appear to have loved all the wet weather we had over the winter because I've never seen our rose bushes grow so tall or have so many flower heads. The white ones have a beautiful scent to them.
I'm pleased with that shot, especially as I only have a crappy point-and-shoot with a limited wide-angle lens function. It's the tiniest little rose bush in the garden with a most beautiful bloom. I couldn't take similar shots of the other roses because the blooms were higher than my head.
Hubby and I just got back from an Alaskan cruise. He took this shot of Sawyer Glacier in Tracy Arm and I absolutely love it!
^ That's an amazing photo, Shanndee! Just. Simply. Amazing! macloudt, that's a very pretty set of photos (and flowers)! I especially like the middle one, with it's contrast of blue and green colors (with the white flowers).
Ooh, Shanndee, I'm envious. An Alaskan cruise or, more likely, one to the northern lands of western Europe is on my list of Things To Do. What a beautiful photo.
Thank you! I wish I had his eye for composition! I think I need to print and frame it. And, macloudt, those photos make me want to try to plant some flowers on my balcony again! Oh, do it if you can!! The only time I come back from a holiday feeling relaxed and refreshed is when we take a cruise. We went with Holland America. My last cruise was with Norwegian. I would give Norwegian the edge simply because they don't do the two formal dinners that HA does, and I can do without packing all those extra clothes! Norwegian also seemed to offer more onboard activities that I wanted to participate in. But HA had better food. So, it all depends what you want in a vacation!
A certain '59 Cadillac in brick form has appeared in our home: Spike is skeptical of its inhabitants:
If you knew how much of an unholy terror this beast is, you'd know why Egon is terrified beyond the capacity for rational thought.
