When the mine is done we should throw a completion party there, don't you think?
And throwing out invites to the map left and right on the public service channel.

Of course. I've managed to get a lot of help from the NoP public channel, so would be nice to give back a little. Snagged a fistful of FMs for the Spire project a little while ago, definitely a nice boost.

Speaking of which, got the Spire Research T2 project kicked off, will be up and running for next week. 8)

We're about 500 Fleet Marks away from doing the last Ops Mine project, which will unlock the T3 Ops portion of the Mine. The Mil portion is only just behind, and then there should be the final T3 upgrade project there. End is in sight on that one! Everyone grind a few extra marks to get that one going, and once the project is available, have at it!

Yep, hadn't noticed we were out. Honestly don't use that store for much, had endgame stuff since forever it feels like. And so many sets floating around that I never tried to buy shields/deflectors/engines.
So has it gotten to the point that fleet equipment is no longer worth getting?

I doubt that will ever happen. Other than a few highly specific instances (omega task force gear, personal rep universal consoles), fleet gear is way better than any other gear in the game. As it should be considering the amount of resources a fleet has to put in to unlock the top end fleet gear.

^^Yeah, some of the fleet stuff is a must, those engineering consoles that offer all damage resistance plus a extra bonus to other things are great, add to them a few tac consoles that add crit damage as well as more power to you weapons.

Now fleet ship weapon i am on the wall about, i am not seeing any that offer anything other that a slightly higher DPS, i have normal very rare weapons but they are doing 60% crit damage, but i cant seem to find any fleet weapons that offer similar, unless i am looking in the wrong place.

Re: STO: TrekBBS Armada and House of TrekBBS - Fleet discussion and FA

We have not unlocked the Elite Fleet space gear yet. I think that'S T4/T5 stuff.
The Advanced weapons however are prefered by many because they have t
he highest straight damage, Elite Fleet Weapons trade in one damage proc for a heal proc.

Fleet gear doesn't have any gimmicky set bonuses.

Each single piece has regular procs and traits and can be mixed and matched with anything without losing anything.

Also, once we have unlocked the stores and have enough provisions, they are way easier to grind for than reputation gear. So a fresh 50 can be geared out within a few days.

Fleet, lockbox and reputation faction weapons are better because they have one additional effect (or proc) over normal very rare weapons' 3 effects. They may not have certain effects such as [CrtD] or [CrtH], but it is this 4th effect that makes them "better" than normal very rare weapons.

For advanced fleet weapons, that 4th effect is either [Acc] or [Dmg]. For federation elite fleet weapons, it is always a shield heal proc. Conversely, klingon elite fleet weapons have a shield damage proc. And for the various reputation faction weapons, cryptic has eventually settled on some kind of additional bonus damage against its faction (tholian/voth/undine).

And it is for this reason that Spiral Wave Disruptors are considered the best weapon in the game, even better than fleet weapons. Simply because they have 5 effects.

We'll soon have 36 equipment provisions. Is that enough?

How many still need fleet provision for equipment purchases, and how many provisions do you need?

Mine upgrade is nearing completion, just gotta grind through some Fleet Marks. Spire T2 upgrade is also now underway, so lots of work to do!

Re: STO: TrekBBS Armada and House of TrekBBS - Fleet discussion and FA

Last night we left the Mine upgrade at about 6000 Fleet Marks. We need 4000 more.

if 10 people grind out 400 mark each ( which would mean 20.000 fleet credits btw) we are done with it.

400 marks = 4x Colony Invasion + 2x Starbase Defense = about 90 minutes of play time.

We need another 2500. I am building a Voth Heavy Fighter with borg components and am playing a lot of STFs / defera ground, and am feeding all those fleet marks into the Mine upgrade.

So, The T3 Trade Upgrade of the Mine is under way.

10 days running time until we have unlocked access to Mk XII Engineering Fleet Consoles and reduce Item and Commodity costs for fleet projects.

Focus now on the T2 Spire upgrade.
