yeah but the dead wife negates that theory
Cover story. It happened to one 007 agent, so they incorporated it into the story of all successors.
And yet both the Moore and Dalton versions seemed like they were upset about it.

Well, what is a cover story worth if you don't live it?

It's more that Skyfall takes us to James Bond's family home and shows us their gravestones which read Andrew Bond and Monique Delacroix Bond, who are Bond's parents in the Fleming novels.

Basically James Bond is one of those franchises that never much cared about logic or consistency. Bond is always the same guy in whatever age he's in, and he breaks the Fourth Wall to refer to other versions of himself because he's just so awesome that he cannot be contained. Space-time bends itself around him because if it doesn't, he'll bang its wife.

We're sorry, the very serious conversation about consistency you were looking for is not available right now. Your post is very important to us. Please leave a message detailing the reasons why you thought a post about James Bond punching logic in the face was making a solemn point, and we will reply to your post within the next business d...

Postulated: Chuck Norris is to James Bond as a Shih Tzu is to a wolf.
