A much more interesting location that Axanar will be using.

Very cool! I keep meaning to go visit there but haven't done so yet. It will be nice to see it on screen again!

Wait--are people jumping to conclusions here? I didn't read that Alec's team was actually going to open up the west coast Axanar sets to other productions. Or did I miss something?
Jumping the gun here, as we haven't even built anything yet! But yes, our plan is to open up the sets to other productions. We are even working on a Sci Fi film school with some big names. More on that later.
Awesome! Way to pay it forward.

Super interview on Trek FM Mater Stream done on Friday. Highly recomend this Pod cast Very informative and enlighting.
Agreed. This was a great interview! The guys at Trek FM do a great job! I am excited about this film so much more after listening to Alec & Richard speak at length about the project. Count me in on the crowd funding

Christian Gossett, our director, has been storyboarding Kharn, the Klingon General's first appearence.

I'm sure this may have been covered elsewhere, but what are some of the inspiritive sources for the Klingons in this film?

Re: Star Trek: Axanar

Star Trek VI look.

Kharn is a combination of Kang, Katsumoto from "The Last Samurai" and Yamamoto, the Japanese Admiral.

The funny part is how what Star Trek uses is just a fraction of the whole Tillman Water Reclamation Plant (on the following page it's near the lower left corner)
