Re: PICTURE POST II!

Awesome. For me, the hardest part of photographing a sunset is capturing its vibrant colors. Nicely done!

My cat Wicket is 13 years old TODAY!

I am going to have a CAT MITZVAH for him because today he is a (old) man. There will be chicken.

Here he is a moment ago reclining regally on some rubbish.

(I think a Cat Mitzvah is the best idea ever, it should totally be a thing!)

The obligatory USS Enterprise pics when you visit the Air & Space museum in Washington DC.

Wait, what, the one in the city? Not the one outside? Please tell me it isn't so, how the fuck did I miss that?!

EDIT:
So. It's. In. The. Store. WHY IS IT IN THE STORE? I never went in the store since I didn't want TO BUY ANYTHING. I flew all the way there, saw all the cool stuff in the museum, lots of other stuff in DC, but I missed the motherfucking Enterprise since I didn't feel like getting a damn tin space shuttle?! SERRRIOOUSSSLLLYYYYY!!!!!
Damn yeah, I've been to that place as well and did not see the Enterprise

Oh well, it's a fine museum anyway.

Re: PICTURE POST II!

There was a time when the Museum was talking about putting the Enterprise into storage and out of public view, so while the store area isn't the most ideal display location at least they decided to leave the model out in the open. That's more than a fair compromise and I don't have a problem with it.

Astronomy Night on Pier 86

Date: March 19th & 20th
Astronomy Night on Pier 86
Starting at 11:59pm on March 19 and going until 2:30am on March 20, the Intrepid Museum will host astronomers from all over the tri-state region to view the occultation of Regulus, one of the brightest stars in the sky. Astronomers are predicting that shortly after 2:00am, the asteroid 163 Erigone will move between the Earth and Regulus causing the star to completely disappear from view for a brief moment. Come join us at Pier 86 in New York City to witness this beautiful, rare occurrence in the night sky!

Re: PICTURE POST II!

The Capitol Building in Washington is probably my all-time favorite piece of American architecture. I'm not a fan of many of the people inside the building, but the structure itself is beyond impressive and inspiring.
