Re: Castle - Season 6 Discussion & Spoilers

The wedding stuff from the last episode was nicely done, the dress was a disaster, and the case itself I didn't pay attention to.

Just glad the wedding will be done by the end of the season.

Yep, convenient for them to move it up to the season finale

We should start a pool - who gets shot at the wedding, Castle or Beckett.

And no bet that Kate ends up working a case in the dress at some point in the procedings, it's a given.

I think Castle will get shot, Beckett already was shot for a season finale.

I thnk they're due to kill another character. Have a guest at the wedding shot. I would say good-bye to Ryan's wife Jenny and let Ryan deal with being a grieving single dad.

Pretty heavy for a show that's more 'romantic comedy' than drama. It's not Grey's Anatomy, you're allowed to go into a break WITHOUT killing people occasionally

That, and not sure how much longer this show has, so rather they finish up as they are than try to get another season out of stunt deaths and replacement characters...

They have that new tech woman, I'm waiting for her to be killed.

Way I see it, the only expendable character is Martha. Also, her death - while traumatic for Castle, may also serve to bring him and Beckett together, what with her having lost her mother previously.

Also, Pi= 3.14/3XIV turn the V on its side and you have 3XK.

I think it could be his father. It would kind of make sense to have it be the opposite for him.

Good catch.

That was a bad episode. I can see why the chose to burn it off during the Olympics when most people wouldn't watch it.
The mystery was completely inplausable; They at least made the time travel episode fun, but this was just a grind. Castle and Beckett's song is this generic and unmemorable piece of crap that was probably an original piece so they wouldn't have to pay royalties.

And of course it ended with the stupid little sting "We didn't find any wires or magnets in his place!! Hey, if they wanna be X-Files, go all the way and be X-Files.

Re: Castle - Season 6 Discussion & Spoilers

Yeah, this episode was pretty stupid. Castle and Beckett walked in on them doing the telekinesis trick but weren't around afterward to see how he did it, to the point where Castle still thought the guy was telekinetic when they brought him to the precinct?

And there's no way the guy could pull off an impromptu demonstration of his "powers" in an open cafeteria with students all over the place. You can certainly fake an incident like that with lots of volunteers, plenty of prep time, a closed demonstration area (until you're ready), and lots of expensive tech and special FX (see below), but it's not something a kid with limited resources can do on the fly.

If they had just stuck with the incident on the Facetime video, that would have been no big deal, but then they tried to extend it to it working in a live setting at the cafeteria with no prep time and witnesses crossing over where the wires or FX tech would have to be, unless we buy into the even dumber "there were no wires found" thing.

Re: Castle - Season 6 Discussion & Spoilers

They already admitted that time travel was real.

Now they're admitting that psychokinetic phenomenon is real.

What we are getting towards here is that Beckett has always been wrong and the most outrageous of theories from Castle have always been right.

I suspect that there is a Men in Black Squad shadowing Castle and Beckett, who have been Doctoring every one of their cases as quickly as they can, but not until after Castle examines the crime scene and explains perfectly exactly how every murder they are forced to solve played out weirdly.
