Christopher Pike Medal of Valour

I was intrigued recently by the 'Christopher Pike Medal of Valour' awarded to Captain Sisko in the episode 'Tears of the Prophets'.

The citation was for his bravey in the battle to retake Deep Space Nine earlier in the year.

Curious, why wouldn't the entire Defiant crew receive a similar commendation? They all put their lives on the line as well.

Also, were any comparisons ever made to present day US Military medals? This calibre of medal would seem to be in the same category as the Medal of Honor.

Sisko was the one makin' the tough decisions, so he's the one who got the medal.

Re: Christopher Pike Medal of Valour

Sisko convinced his Gods/makers (literally lol..) to destroy the Dominion fleet. He deserves 100 Christopher Pike medals for saving the Federation lol.
