Re: Did You Like Seven Of Nine?

I just posted the cover to facebook, all 2 dozen of my friends will be buying it now

And i just realized what's so different about this art, it's a PHOTO! Or is designed to look like one. I don't recall seeing a photo on a Trek book for a long time.

But isn't Batman (at least the '60s version) supposed to be groovy? (or something not-ordinary; I was too young in the '60s to really understand a lot of the slang that was used at the time)
Yeah, but this was in the eighties!

An editor saved me from embarrassment once. I was describing a Middle Eastern camel market and what I should have written was: "The men were more interested in the camels than the women were."

But what I actually wrote was: "The men were more interested in the camels than the women."

I sent my editor a thank-you note for catching that!

I realized that things were different after the Joker beat Robin to death with a crowbar.

Small things like that.

We will assimilate Facebook. Resistance is futile.

Janeway is in it. Not in a big way, but she makes an appearance.

Re: Did You Like Seven Of Nine?

I'm assuming that "the internet" was backed up at some point, or several points for historical prosperity and eventually included into the Federation Cultural Database which is stored in every Starships Library computer, several of which have been assimilated during various Borg incursions.

I'll take it

You know I was out of Treklit for a while, having felt like DS9 relaunch was losing steam but I bought Before Dishonour because it had that beautiful artwork of 7 on the cover so I assumed it would be a beautiful 7 story.. of course we know what happened next.

I'm happy to see 7 on a book cover again and to be with my original Trek crush of all time too

I keep thinking there is some resentment because JL(Kes) got axed. It is fair I guess???

ETA: Seven is my favorite character so some of the hate never really made sense. LOL.

I did like Seven of Nine... but sadly she did not return my affections.

I would have much rather seen Harry bite the bullet.
