This trailer is like the Fifth Element on steroids. I honestly have no idea what's going on in it, but it looks beautiful.

This is supposed to be partly a sci-fi version of Snow White.

Is there a sci-fi version of The Little Mermaid? I'd be all in!

ETA: This looks unappealing to me.

Re: Jupiter Ascending trailer

I broke down and peeked at the Fount of All True Knowledge:

Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis) is an unlucky Russian immigrant who cleans toilets for a living. She encounters Caine (Channing Tatum), an interplanetary warrior whom the Queen of the Universe sent to kill Jupiter. Caine tells Jupiter that the stars were pointing to an extraordinary event on the night she was born, and that her DNA could mark her as the universe's next leader.
Hrmmm.

The film's music will be composed by Michael Giacchino, who also scored the Wachowskis’ 2008 film Speed Racer . . . In August, Giacchino stated: “We’re actually recording all the music first, before they’re even done shooting. It’s been done sort of backwards, and it’s much more freeing doing it that way. I’m not locked down to any specific timings and what the film is doing. I can do whatever I want. It opens up a lot more possibilities.
Mmmm-hrrmmmm...

Re: Jupiter Ascending trailer

Giacchino's score for Speed Racer is aces, as are most of his scores.

Re: Jupiter Ascending trailer

I see that he also did The Incredibles, Cloverfield, Ratatouille, Up... cool beans. Doubts on that score, so to speak, allayed.
