Star Trek First Contact Commentary...

I just recently purchased the Star Trek Collectors Edition and am offset by the Commentary section by Pascale and Lindelof...such BS coming from someone that is a fan and a writer that supposedly they both like TREK....BOTH got episodes wrong and/or the aspect of the story line,..almost makes me sick to my stomach

I just find it incredible the things Star Trek fans will complain about anymore. It's a commentary by people who had nothing to do with the film. Why even waste time with it?

I'm guessing since Lindelof has ties to the franchise having worked with Abrams and Company, they thought viewers might like to know his thoughts on what came before. Pascale, I have no clue as to why he was included?

Still, I usually don't waste my time listening to commentaries that include people who had nothing to do with the actual product. YMMV.

Is there something wrong with the movie?

Re: Star Trek First Contact Commentary...

Wasn't there a commentary done by Frakes for the Directors Edition? If so it would have made more sense to actually use that than have one recorded by people who weren't actually involved in the film.

Re: Star Trek First Contact Commentary...

It's a commentary track. One of several available for this film, IIRC. If you don't like it, don't listen to it. You've still got an awesome movie in a great-looking format. That's what you paid for. Things like commentaries are just extras. Why would you return a movie for such a petty reason?

If it's the version I'm thinking of, it says on the back that the commentary is by Lindelof & Pascale.
