From the looks of it the lounges aren't all that happening these days.

The Admirals' Lounge certainly isn't all that active. I can remember when the Lounge had multiple pages' worth of active or semiactive threads and brand new threads being posted on a regular basis.

^Well, the Admiral's Lounge is merely there to make the lower ranks try hard to get there... Put in other words: the cake is a lie.

You'll have to go to her porch in the lounge.

Re: Any old timers still around?

The lounge porch always has cigarette butts and candy wrappers. Sweep that thing first!

^True that! - but Ghosts porch is a no smoking zone (and also a no drinking zone)

*makes mental note to bring beef & onion pie and special apple pie with walnuts when turning Admiral in about 2000 years*

Well, 9 years do qualify as oldtimer, whether you like it or not. It's cool that you un-lurked to post here, though =)

Really? One can delete one's account nowadays? Geez, times have really changed! Way back then, I got banned by Lisa for insisting my account to not get locked but completely deleted (only Admins could delete accounts then)

I'm coming up on 9 years now, in about a month. Time flies.

Oh, I don't think one can actually delete an account, but one can stop using it

I've been on the board for twelve and a half. Not sure of when I joined the Admirals' Lounge but I've been there long enough to remember when some of our more legendary, beloved and long-gone posters were still active and we had multiple pages' worth of threads on any given day.

Good times.
