Kind of an underwhelming minisode. Not sure what purpose it really served.
It kinda made me want to play a Doctor Who 1st-person shooter.

Not surprised and quite relieved by the Hurt/Piper clip.

I think this might have been mentioned before awhile back but I noticed at one of the theaters in London showing the episode listed the run time as one hour and 22 minutes.

This could mean that they could be showing the Night of the Doctor minisode in theatres? That would be actually cool, since its relevant to the plot, and because its a well-written piece.

Plus, it would mean that, in an ironical twist, Paul McGann ended up in another movie showing. This time in cinemas.

It occurs to me that "Night of the Doctor" was released early because it was about to be leaked. Maybe "The Last Day" was meant to come out first as a teaser, followed by "Night." That way it wouldn't have been an anticlimax.

A bit off topic, but I'd love to see more of these.

Apparently there's a behind-the-scenes featurette at the cinema showings.

Ah, cool. I wonder if there will be any showings at the cinema in the days afterward.

Anyone know why Russell T Davies hasn't been a part of any of the retrospective stuff? He's conspicuous by his absence I thought. Maybe too busy with his new Channel 4 shows?

They added some showings Monday night at my local cinema, so I'm going then. Quite exciting, actually.

Not sure if this should/could be classified as spoilers or just Finnish Broadcasting Company(YLE) getting stuff completely mixed up.. But I just read news on YLE's website about Who's 50th anniversary. They are showing The Day of the Doctor with other countries on Saturday.

And I must stress that this is probably first Who-related news I've ever read on YLE's website, so this probably is just mixed information.. Atleast I havent seen this even rumored anywhere.

Edit: and they edited the article.. Simple error or notice from BBC?

To be honest, I'm thinking the latter.
