If you have Antenna TV in your area, a little notice for this one

HINT: Unless you are huge Hazel fan (and who isn't? ), its OK to skip/skim through the first act!

Hazel

Anyhoo, it's always fun to see a bunch of Star Trek alumni in single episodes. In this case, the Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea episode The Left handed Man.

Theo Marceuse (Korob) as Lescaux on Devil's Island:

Funny thing about this guy. For so long, I'd watch this episode, and I kept thinking I knew him from something else, but couldn't place what it was. Then it recently dawned on me what it was, was his voice...it has a similar sound to Gavin Macleod's!

Until Marcuse's sudden passing, Marcuse (<- proper spelling!) and McLeod were TV's 'go to' guys for evil/eccentric foreign baddies. Unfortunately, unlike Macleod, he never got a chance to rehabilitate his image.

Harry visits the Naked City again - a 1960 episode. They needed a slimy, crooked cheap detective, and, well, who ya gonna call?

The copyright on screen was MCMLX, that's what I was going by.

Yup - October, 1960. Here's the episode:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0656860/

It also featured a small role by Al Lewis, and the main guest star was an utterly stunning 23-year-old Suzanne Pleshette.

Going back to Leslie Parrish, here she is in The Manchurian Candidate.

^He's part of a spy unit in that one, btw - not a Japanese Marine in WWII.

Then there's always Kay E. Kuter. He played the Cytherian "head" from the Barclay center-of-the-galaxy episode, the name of which escapes me right now. Next Generation, granted...but here he's playing his recurring role of Newt Kiley on Green Acres. At least that's of original-series vintage!

^ I first noticed Kuter's name in a 60's episode of The Outer Limits. In "The Premonition", he's some guy trapped in some limbo world outside of time. The heroes are in a frozen moment of time (actually slow moving moment ala "Wink of an Eye"), and he's trying to kill them or something so he can take their place in the real world. He was rather unrecognizable though, as he was mostly seen superimposed as a negative image into scenes.
