They really chose well with Jeri. Any actress could have provided the boobs and body, but Jeri's interpretation also provided the brains of the character. A lesser actress could have delivered the dialogue, but perhaps not as convincingly.
I agree mostly. Not just any actress could have provided the boobs and the body.

The funny thing about my love of Seven is that I can't recall ever having actually seen her series debut, Scorpion P2, before, although I'm just about to remedy that.
FYI, if you are looking to see her debut, she first appears in Scorpion P1.
Not according to Memory Alpha, any other source I can find, or that episode itself (which I just finished).

Yeah she doesn't show up until part 2 -after- they make the deal and start working together. Part 1 ends with the Borg Cube dragging Voyager into the cliffhanger while they were in the process of negotiating that deal.
Here is the transcript. 7 is in Part 1.

That's a transcript of both parts. Part 1 ends with Voyager being dragged along as the Borg Cube races away from the planetary explosion caused by the 8472 bio-ships.

Seven of Nine, Tertiary Adjunct of Unimatrix Zero One, doesn't actually make an appearance until she steps out of her alcove when Janeway demands a personal representative over a forced neural implant. If she's in any of the Borg ship scenes in Part One, I haven't yet spotted her and I've watched the episode a dozen times in the last few months, even trying to find her.

Nope. Brown. It was, as I recall, the first outfit she had after the original silver one.

Yeah Yanks, that transcript you provided merged both episodes together. I watched it a month back and have seen it several times over the years.

Janeway is on the cube at this point but they haven't negotiated an agreement. One of the terms was them use Seven as a representative as opposed to the Borg neural implants. Seven was said representative.

Seven was clearly a positive addition to the show, I just wish it had not been so much at the expense of the rest of the cast.

Re: Did You Like Seven Of Nine?

More evidence proving that Yanks' assertion is wrong:
* According to the Memory Alpha article on Scorpion P2, at the time Scorpion P1 was being written and filmed, the role of Seven of Nine had been conceived of but was still being cast
* Scorpion P1 still uses the second set of Voyager opening credits (which debuted with Parallax and feature Jennifer Lien's "Also Starring" credit), whereas Scorpion P2 marks the debut of the credits sequence which features Jeri Ryan's "Also Starring" credit (with Jennifer Lien's being moved until after the episode's Title Card, which also happens in The Gift)

I clicked the link twice, and both times I got a photo of an actor in a Robin Hood show I've never seen.

Why?
Why does all Trek after TOS always pair up the hot babes with the old, balding, or just plain ugly characters?

The Doctor looks to have at least 20 years on Seven, yet everyone freaks out at C/7 and the different is not apparently as large.

Re: Did You Like Seven Of Nine?

People don't freak out at C/7 because of the age difference. They freak out because they either want Chak in Janeway's bed NOW or the want 7 in Janeway's bed NOW and C/7 pisses all over both groups.
