* * * ATTENTION FACEBOOK USERS & STAR TREK SIMMERS/ROLE-PLAYERS * * *

Hello, my name is Captain Benjamin Wolf. I have started a Facebook group for Trek players and fleets/games, as a way to give those players, fleets and games more exposure. I'm putting together a list of the various groups and games that are out there - if you want yours added, you just need to ask me to add it! Everyone is welcome, and the more links I can get to add, the better. No group will get preferential treatment, and there is to be NO drama between feuding players or groups. Let's face it, Star Trek simming/RPing is not what it used to be. More and more fleets are disappearing, and I want to use this group to help out the thing that I've loved and been a part of for over 15 years.

I hope you'll consider joining, because I'm doing this for everyone who loves Trek simming/RP as much as I do.

You can find the group at The Star Trek Simming/Role-Playing Hub

My Facebook profile; feel free to add me! Benjamin E. Wolf III

Or if you have any questions and don't have Facebook, and would like me to post a link to your group or game, you can email me at benjaminewolfiii@gmail.com.

They say that risk is apart of the game of life. That you must take risks to win the game.

You lost.
The game is over.
Now what?

You are no longer safe in the Federation.
You ARE the bad guy...

You're now wanted by Starfleet; the Klingons, and the Romulans, what will you become?

When you've lost everything you've ever cared about; have watch entire worlds burn and the people you know die before your eyes...

Will you face your fears head on, turn tail in fear?

When you've lost your honor, your faith, your glory and fate leaves everything else in tatters...

Where, then will you go? What will you become?

To all the wretches and sorry civilians: You once again have a home...

Become apart of our crew, and fill the roll of:
Chief Engineer
Ship's Doctor
Brothel Madame
Chief Security
Thief

...And more

To all of the wretches and sorry civilians...

...Welcome to the SS Mary Rose.

Re: RPG Recruitment Thread

Hello, galaxy.

I'm testing out an online gaming concept for a directed, small-group game set in the TOS era and utilizing the wonderfully zany "Where No Man Has Gone Before" micro-lite d20 system. I'm looking for a few good crew members to take ship with the good Captain T. Jacob Sando on the U.S.S. Vanguard for a five-year mission full of classic Trek goodness. The setting and feel are directly based on the The Star Trek Guide used by the writers' room of the original series, with such concessions to later continuity and custom as fit with the feel -- and the fun -- of that founding format.

Game and rule information are here. The recruitment thread is here.

(Note that the forum linked is not a Fleet; much as I admire the sophistication of many of those efforts, I was also somewhat non-plussed at how hard it is to find a forum that's simply open to hosting Trek RP's without compelling one to join someone's "Fleet." In the end I just made my own, Star Trek Multiverse, and while my RP is on the board, I do invite people who are looking for a simple site open to a range of RP's, settings and continuities to come on over and check it out.)

I hope you like what you see and will consider visiting me! Thanks for reading!

(EDIT: Ahem. I've changed the settings so you can actually read what's at the links without having to log in. Sorry, bit new at this forum business.)

The USS Hartington is now recruiting Officers and Crew for its voyage back into the Gamma Quadrant. After a year hiatus, Task Force Gamma's premier sim is relaunching and we want you!

***

The Gamma Quadrant.

Long considered a vast expanse of mystery and danger, this hostile frontier is being slowly tamed. In the five years since the end of the Dominion War, people from across the Alpha and Beta quadrants, starships and colonists, have ventured into the night, seeking their fortunes. In the Federation, Starfleet has sent forth a number of missions, their purpose to fulfill Starfleet’s mandate.

And they have.

New alliances have been made, as have new enemies. Among the worlds of the Dominion, the tyrannical grasp of the Founders loosens as Odo’s message of peace with the Solids spreads across their empire. The Myosians, a confederation of worlds colonized by a united people long ago, seeks out the friendship of the Federation, inviting them to their worlds. A new enemy, the Tal’Harton, even now seek out any who defy the will of their god – and see special heresy in the faithful of the Dominion and on Bajor. Even as they move to wipe out those they call heretics, they see a wonder in that blasphemy. The Trill, specifically the symbionts, interests them for a reason only their minds can fathom.

The Federation has moved into the Gamma Quadrant in force. Even now, Starfleet personnel are en route to the heart of the Myosian Confederation, taking up their hosts invitation to administrate Starfleet operations from their territory. Several Federation starships work tirelessly charting this new frontier, as well as carrying colonists and supplies to the recently settled worlds and coming to their aid when called.

At the vanguard of this effort for Starfleet is the USS Hartington, a Galaxy-class explorer manned by a crew of eager men and women from across the Federation and beyond.

***

What are we looking for?

Senior Officers/Lead NCOs:
Alpha Shift Helmsman
Lead Counselor
Diplomatic Officer
Chief of the Boat

All Assistant and Deputy Department Heads (except Engineering)
All Junior Officers
All Enlisted Personnel
Starfleet Cadets
Civilian Personnel
Alien Exchange Officers

We also are preparing to launch a companion story on the same Nova site, based around one of the MACO units aboard the Hartington. For this companion story, we are looking for:

MACO Troopers
MACO Medic
MACO Officers and NCOs including Platoon Leader and Platoon Sgt.

Players of all experience levels and interests are welcome. Our hope is to develop junior officers as a thriving lower decks setting in order to promote the characters up and establish new companion sims to expand our setting.

Feel free to message me here or e-mail me at captaindavidbrennon@gmail.com You can also follow the link in my signature to visit our Nova site at http://wyldling.com/Hartington

We look forward to serving with you!

Re: RPG Recruitment Thread

The crew of the Sovereign-class U.S.S. Akagi has been assigned to the Delta Quardant, three years after the Battle of Union in 2384 where combined Federation and non-official Klingons forces fought a single Borg Cube.

Following the destruction of the Union, F'hoca, Solaria and Mauoian Gateways which linked the Delta and Alpha quadrants together, the only means of travel between these two quadrants was replaced by the Federation Transwarp Network which utilized Borg technology from Voyager's return from the Delta Quadrant.

The Akagi now explores a region of space within the Delta Quardant known as the Round Table which is almost completely unknown and is fifteen thousand light-years beyond the furthest known edges of Hirogen, Vaadwaur, and Borg expansion.

An area of the once mythical race of Iconians, creators of the gateways, with such dangers as the Skareen, a militaristic and widely feared throughout the Star Desert, and the nicknamed Ariel Mercenaries. However, all is not lost, with the Perenalthorias Union of Commonwealths who are responsible for establishing trade, and maintaining the peace not too unsimilar to the United Federation of Planets.

As we embark on our new adverture, we are now recruiting players in the following positions:

* Chief Flight Control Officer
* Chief Counselor
* Chief of Boat
* Assistant Chief Medical Officer

Don't delay join us today at http://www.startrekakagi.com

We are also calling all Starfleet Marines and MACOs, the USS Hartington is recruiting specifically for our MACO Detachment. This storyline will be focused on a small peacekeeping force sent by the Federation into the Gamma Quadrant with the Starship Hartington. Their primary mission will be to act as roaming troubleshooters for the new colonies established in the Gamma Quadrant. It's the Wild West of Star Trek and we need you to help tame it!

We're looking for both Officers and Enlisted Troopers to round out our team. Positions include:

Platoon Medics
Squad Leader
MACO Trooper

What we are looking to write is basically a Band of Brothers type story in the Star Trek Universe. It's supposed to be a personal, intimate story of those bonds that form between soldiers, not just a shoot'em'up style. The story will be from the perspective of the troopers in one MACO Platoon, though they aren't the only MACOs aboard the ship. They'll interact with a number of other MACO and Starfleet personnel aboard the Hartington and while away on assignment.

Players of all experience levels and interests are welcome. Our hope is to develop junior officers as a thriving lower decks setting in order to promote the characters up and establish new companion sims to expand our setting.

We play via Nova, you can visit our gameplay site at http://wyldling.com/Hartington

Bound by nothing but the whims of the crew and the need to survive, the residents of the SS Cutty Sark traverse the space lanes in search of that most elusive find: Peace.

Peace to live as you like.

Peace to be your own master.

Peace to tell your tale.

The ragtag crew of the Sark have bet it all on their search. Only time will tell if they find what they're looking for out in the void.

***

The Cutty Sark is a Star Trek simulation set aboard an old Yridian freighter owned and operated by Captain Thomas Quinn. Not members of any one nation, the crew of the Sark has one concern above all else: Their own interests. Honorable men and women share the corridors with scoundrels.

Players can take up many ship positions from pilot, engineer, cargo handler, fighters or "plain and simple" passengers with their own unique story to tell. All kinds of people find themselves plying the spacelanes in these uncertain times... what is your story?

Re: RPG Recruitment Thread

Want to be apart of something new? create new stories then the same ones that have already been written? If so you come to the right place.

The Storyline for the USS Shadow

The year is 2387 and romulan and remus are about to be destroyed by the Hobus supernova that is traveling at tremendous speed. The Federation turns its back on them and orders that Admiral Riskin of starbase bravo not to send any ships to rescue the romulans or face court marshell. Well several ships as well as the ships assigned to starbase bravo defy orders and mounts a rescue team and set course for romulas. They arrived and rescued about 40,000 romulans before the supernova hits and destroyed the planets. Spock was able to stop it before it destroyed anymore worlds. Because the ones who were apart of the rescue as well as sb bravo have seceded from the federation and are now apart of the newly formed Raeyan Alliance. Yoshi was the XO of the USS Atlantis at the time of the rescue. The Ronulans are now living on there new homeworld Mandukar.

Now the Year is 2389, two years later Captain Yoshi Baldwin was newly promoted and became commanding officer of the USS Shadow a Sovereign class starship that is fited with a Romulan cloaking device which is being operated by a Romulan Engineer assigned to the shadow. There current mission is they are being sent deep inside the Hobus system under cloak to meet with the USS fearless under the command of Commodore Dana Taggart. We are to figure out why the hibus supernova happened and why it travelled so quickly when it should have taken 500 years to reach romulas and remus. We are on day 2 of our two week journey. The rest is waiting to be written and with ur creativity id have it made.

About the Simm (Storyline)

The Marjorn Sector is teeming with ore and goods from six points within the 20 light-year expanse. Starbase 249 serves as a central hub for distribution and barter. Things are meant to be closely monitored by Starfleet personal and other employees of the base, but with so many goods, things always go missing. Each key power in Marjorn has sent an official to oversee their planet's stake as well as arrange trade from the other major powers in the Alpha Quadrant.

The world of Algor is controlled by a religious people who tend to trade only when necessary. Fangalor is an ocean world on the farthest outskirts of the sector. The most central world of the sector is Cerol, where a great peace treaty was signed over 500 years ago by all the neighboring worlds. A mining emporium controls an asteroid field several light years from SB 249.

The base is run by Starfleet with Lieutenant Commander Ryan Murphy in charge, but he is not alone. Civilian operations is run by an appointed Civilian Representative elected very two years by the stations residents. The senior officer of Judge Advocate General's office is a third voice in the overall leadership of the base.

The current Civilian Representative is Vince Omen of Netu Prime. He has lived on the Station for ten years and been in charge of civilian operations for the last four. He is stepping down at the end of his term. Names are being cast for a new representative. It could be you.

2390 could be your year to follow your dreams and take on that role who've wanted to try for so long. Join us and make a difference.

About us (OOC):

We are an active simm with fun, mature, down to earth and no drama players. We are all about the storylines, having fun. Our missions are interactive, challenging and everyone's ideas are always welcome. We pride our selves on being easy going, yet we are active posters who have a good time with what we do. Our character interactions are rich and vibrant, and we are looking for people to add to our close knit crew.

The year is 2415, and the galaxy is in a state of turmoil. After 6 years of constant fighting, andno sign of victory on any side, the Romulans, Klingons, and the Federation signed a cease fire reigniting the hope for peace.

With the Federation suffering heavy losses in the war, the Federation Council decided that a new group was needed in order to protect the Federation. This new group’s sole purpose would be to take on missions deemed too dangerous for other Federation Commanders or missions that required a sensitive touch. This group would become known as the Federation Joint Special Operations Command.

In response to the new group, Starfleet ordered that 35 ships be constructed and crewed in order to fulfill their obligations to the Federation. The first ship to be completed in the order was the USS Aquinas, an Odyssey class starship; equipped with experimental technology, the ship was designed to serve as a vessel of peace while maintaining the ability to wage war should the need arise.

During the maiden voyage, the ship and its crew were thrust into the war with the Borg. After receiving a set of coordinates from a Federation Starship, a scout vessel was sent ahead to investigate. Upon their arrival, they discovered that it was the location of the Borg Unimatrix and approached it with the scout vessel to gather as much information as they could. After gathering the information, the vessel made its way back to the Aquinas so that the information could be evaluated for its usefulness.

If you have any questions, please contact FSF Cassiopeia or FSF Ward on AIM or via email using the information above. We can’t wait to see you there!
