Congratulations to John Hertzler

John Hertzler won the election for a Ulysses Town Board post in central New York, giving "General Martok" his newest political office. I wish him luck in the new job.

Did he have Michael Dorn kill the previous office holder?

The same reporter got an interview with John Hertzler, and shows off some good Star Trek knowledge, too.

You know how it goes. First you become Chancellor of the Klingon Empire, and then you've got the politics bug so next you run for Town Council...

Heck, could you imagine a gentleman's duel in Kentucky with Martok?

Ulysses, NY is a town of about 5,000 in the Finger Lakes region of upstate NY. I used to live and work in that area as a newspaper reporter. I can only imagine what it would be like to be covering those meetings and hearing Martok's voice.
