Mr. Wallace and Mr. Carthew .....I am at awe at what you all have done. I can't wait to see the studio model of this thing in all its glory. As far as meshes go, this one beats them all.

Just one thing though, and this is directed at Madman Ricky Wallace. Do you think its possible to create multiple variations of reflecting surfaces? I was thinking in those renders how you see the mosaic pattern, but they dont "Mirror" reflect at angles....well come to think of it, your Version 5 JJprise did it quite well.As you can see, some of the panels reflect the light more intensly than the others. I think that look would go well for this mesh...Just a thought. This thing really outstanding as is.
Thank you very much!...that's a great compliment!

Check out this "DRAFT TEST" animation Ricky built for us...
http://www.mediafire.com/file/a4yhc9...etsTest_HD.wmv

I think this is what you are looking to see on the mesh...

Screen Grab from "Test" video below:

Guys... check this out below with link

Forward: from Darren Jamieson < startrekblog > | October 31, 2013

Hey Rick, follow the download link for an MSD I had commissioned for your Prime Alternative Enterprise.

It’s very cool.

I have asked for an image of just the ship so I can do an LCARS version and a TOS Movie version for you, and one in colour.

For now, enjoy this ine based on JJVERSE

Really loving the renders and the concepts here. One thing to point out, though: It's Matt "Jefferies", "not "Jeffries" .

- or my name's not "Geoffrey" .

It has to be noted that the MSD was created by Deif. Everything about this ship and its artwork is amazing

There is a lot of talent here! Major kudos to all artists involved! This is why I feel like such an amateur (and I say that with nothing but deep respect ), when I see work like this, it inspires me to continue my work.

So, please, keep it up!

Re: The Prime Alternative ~ Close-Up Views

The neck bugs me (as in virtually all CG versions of the TOS Enterprise). There is no transition between neck and saucer section, neither in geometry nor textures. The way it just cuts through the inset lines of the saucer, for example. That makes it look very artificial.
