Re: Sports video memories

With Game 5 starting tonight at 8:00 PM, I couldn't help but think back to another series with several blowout wins and a classic game 5. Broke my heart. I remember watching it live, all I said coming into the out-of-bounds play was "Don't Leave Robert Horry Open." Just an incredible shot. Horry, because I never cheered for the Rockets, his Lakers, or the Spurs (until 2006), has broken my heart in 6 of his 7 NBA Championships.

Mets broadcasters make fun of "homer" announcers, with hilarious results:

Uhhhh, yeah. I'd be distracted by her pitching motion, too!

Indians fans react to their Tigers-induced asskicking, by starting up a classless "Detroit's bankrupt!" chant:

David Hulse hits a succession of foul balls...into the exact same place (the Angels dugout)

Lambert Bartak, longtime organist at Rosenblatt Stadium (in Omaha, where I live) has died.

Same parking lot, but I went to the zoo. No baseball game that day.

I could go for a minor league or college team here but I live in the middle of nowhere.

After re-watching this... I think I've decided which bowl game has been the best so far. An outrageously old-school game, with a smashmouth play on MSU's biggest play of the year... by a backup, walk-on linebacker, no less! Okay, he wasn't the only one on that play, but he was still HUGE!!!

No matter how yo feel about Derek Jeter (or Gatorade for that matter), I think you have to admit this commercial is pretty cool. Very well done
