All men are ugly, what's your point?

Re: What happened with Kes and Neelix?

Kes is an adult for her species, I don't find the relationship creepy.

However, the thing about the Elogium happening once in your life, that implies that Ocampa do not feel sexual desire at any other point in their life. Which has certain other creepy implications about the power relationship between the two.

Re: What happened with Kes and Neelix?

They had separate rooms.

It's an easy argument to suggest that they had a nonsexual relationship, despite all the kissing.

eh I don't think we can assume anything about a species that only lives 9 years.

I'm told that "You Mother mates out of season" is a popular non human insult.

Neelix was like a prepubescent human male before his first date, pretending to be worldly about his areas of known space, but basically full of shit. A child in an adult's body. Kes seemed the more psychologically mature of the two.

Re: What happened with Kes and Neelix?

Yes, maybe she was as mature as him when they first met.. but not really. When the first met she was just super naive and believed all his bluffy ego stuffs.

Re: What happened with Kes and Neelix?

You do understand that that's what game is?

Men can only trick women into thinking they're not crude sex obsessed perverts planning their next fart who are less smart than they are.

So there's only two legal ways for a (straight) man not to die a virgin, woo morons, or acquire enough wealth/stuff that your built in and inescapable flaws don't seem so repellent.

But who ended up with a family and a likely high position in a colony, while the other turned batshit insane and alone?

Kes had her chance and she spurned him, so in the context of ancient fairy tales, she refused to kiss her frog prince and her fate was deserved. Neelix is an example of how kissassers rise to high places.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no fan of Neelix, but he got an amazing send off compared to "I'm traveling back in time to kill my friends" Kes.

Re: What happened with Kes and Neelix?

He didn't rise high.

He went to live with inbred morons living under a rock who thought he was a god.

Which is exactly the nature of his relaitonship with Kes in the beginning before she grew up..

Neelix should've stayed with them until they got to the Alpha Quadrant. Then he could've become King of the Pakleds.

Re: What happened with Kes and Neelix?

I really didn't understand the reasoning of writing Neelix out of the show so that he misses the big finish. It could have been the beginning of an entirely new adventure for him as an explorer. But by that time, the only growth they were worried about was Seven's.
