Re: The classic Questionarre thread!

I'm going to be rather verbose. Don't say I didn't warn you.

1. What is your favorite word?
Too many to choose from. "Chuckle." "Sporfle." "Roflcopter." I also like made-up words.

2. What is your least favorite word?
"Never." Also, "Normal."

3. What turns you on?
Many things.
Kindness. Honesty. Trustworthiness. Empathy. Reason. Compassion. Conscientiousness. Forgiveness. Openness. A strange and smart sense of humour. Creativity. Irony. Enthusiasm and independence. Intelligence. Wisdom. Strength. Charisma. Constitution. Dexterity. Sorry, I got carried away there. Also, a love of cats or dogs, and a lover of culture, nature, humanity and life itself. Finally, a nice face with a warm and loving smile. Basically, all the things I too strive towards. A killer body is, of course, a bonus.

4. What turns you off?
Again, many things.
Hatred, undue arrogance and egotism, overt hypocrisy, prejudice, dogma of any form, phoniness, deceit and betrayal, cruelty and callousness, carelessness, clinginess and passivity, neglect (both of self and of others), and an inability to learn from past mistakes. In other words, all the things I'm trying not to be. Also, smoking (but I will support you if you are trying to quit).

5. What is your favorite curse word?
"Country Matters."

6. What sound or noise do you love?
The sound of dogs eating or chewing. My last dog, as she yawned, would make a very soft bony clicking sound with her incisors upon closing her jaw, which resonated around the inside of her snout. It was so cute.

7. What sound or noise do you hate?
Anyone or any thing in pain or distress.

8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
I'd normally say "A writer of sweeping epic stories," as we all have a story (or two, or three, or a million) inside of us we need to tell. But really, I'd love to pay the bills as a pilot.

9. What profession would you not like to do?
Anything involving child health: obstetrician, neonatologist, paediatrician. I really don't want to elaborate.

10. If heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the pearly gates?
Anything, really, as by that time I'll probably have gone deaf from all the music I listen to!
But seriously, I'd first ask Him to stop laughing at me for once in my life before He says something. And if indeed He exists, I hope He has something to say. Anything. Please.

1.What is your favorite word? From the right person, “hello.”
2. What is your least favorite word?
From the right person, “goodbye.”
3. What turns you on?
Smarts.
4. What turns you off?
Stupids.
5. What is your favorite curse word?
Fucktacular. Yes, it is derivative of “fuck,”but I wanted to differentiate it from slightly less enjoyable derivatives like, “cockfuckery,” and “fuckpiggery.”
6. What sound or noise do you love?
The laughter of women and little children.
7. What sound or noise do you hate? Screeching metal and breaking glass. It can indeed be one sound if you live your life right. Or rather, wrong.
8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
Librarian.
9. What profession would not like to do?
Couples therapist.
10. If heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the pearly gates?
Welcome, we have been waiting for you.

That's pretty good. It's kind of like "Wooh-stuh," with the "oo" like in "good" and the "u" like in "run."

Every British child knows it's War-chester. With a silent h. I don't know, tourists.

Re: The classic Questionarre thread!

Maybe your Worcester is pronounced that way, but ours isn't.

If it makes you feel any better, Dorchester rhymes with War-chester.

Once I got depressed so I drew a a picture of Bertie Wooster to make myself feel better.

Bertie and Honoria by the bridge -- I think it's a scene out of Code of the Woosters, but when you've read them all the books kind of jumble together!
