Re: VOTE: misc avatar contest: typically Australian

I recall having heard of him but I've never seen pictures. I own a tiny opalized Nautilus shell, though, so I can imagine what he might look like.

Opals are a pretty cool variation of quartz! I've always been a bit envious as we don't have an opals here. But then we have rose quartz, amethysts, citrin, sceptre quartz, rutil quartz, layer quartz, hyalithe etc. I used to collect everything in the quartz-line but now my collection is quite complete. Most of it I found myself. Only the opals are bought. I have a black one, a few sparkly white ones and a few pieces of opal matrix (mostly black opal and the milky variant)

Heh. Last time we each got zero votes for our competing cheesecake and beefcake and this time we're tied for first place.

No, there was just that thing with the hammock and the inner tube last time, and I thought it was funny that we both got nothing. This just makes it funnier. Or maybe I just have a weird sense of humor.

Re: VOTE: misc avatar contest: typically Australian

OK. I can't remember how this works. Do I come up with a new contest?
