NASA's PhD Harold White's Warp Drive Starship

"Starship Congress - Day 3 | Icarus Interstellar" August 17, 2013
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ucyBMB_PWr8
Dr. White begins at time: 00:13:00 in the video. Ship images are shown at the end of his presentation, at time: 00:55:44.

So... here are captures from the above Starship Congress 2013 presentation - to show what a real warpdrive starship would look like. Looks like the front section undocks (ahead of the pylons), to be a lander vehicle.

It looks a lot like the XCV 330: http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/USS_..._%28XCV_330%29

Now if we only had a way to make magical negative energy.

Not impressed until you can make something based in reality.

^ Do you mean like this?...

"Light Created from a Vacuum: Casimir Effect Observed in Superconducting Circuit"
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases...1118133050.htm

That is the basis of the function of the mentioned "Quantum Thrusters" - which Dr. White states as necessary.

That spacecraft is one of the artworks from the Star Trek Ships of the Line 2014 calendar.

^ Does the calendar give additional information about his ship? Like its dimensions, or crew numbers, a ship name, etc.?

There's plenty of time to develop the exotic energy space-dilation drive system after they come up with a good color scheme for the ship.

I like the beige/tan color that it is. But, I would add a bit more of the red-brown trimming to it. I hope that color scheme carries over to a bright interior also.
