I had the same issue.

After you delete the folder, make sure you restart iTunes. I didn't the first time and came up with the same error.
I guess my folder structure is different.

I'm on Windows 7, but it has this listed for XP:

\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Downloads\
Just do a search for your "iTunes Media" folder then go from there. You probably just have a folder with a different name somewhere along the path.

My iTunes copy did the same for the first 10 minutes or so then downloaded normally, they probably had quite a lot of people downloading it the last few days, the servers were probably busy.

Could anybody confirm they've been able to download the visual commentary at 1080p resolution?

I think it's just 720p.

Seems to be 720, although the film is over 4GB but the extras are over 5GB. Not sure.

Yes, that's what I've got, but I'm running Vista as opposed to Windows 7, and don't have an HDCP compliant monitor for my PC - both requirements for Apple 1080 downloads.

I suspect the commentary is only available at 720, but I think TrekCore is suggesting there is a 1080 version. I just wanted to be sure before I bother going to additional measures to secure a superior version!

The IMAX scenes in STID are just awesome on the blu-ray, I would definitely buy an ultimate edition with variable aspect ratio and every extra made!

I hope the next movie is shot fully in IMAX. I know the next Transformers movie is, so why not Trek? I realise it may come down to a budget issue but since we know the reboot sells exceptionally well in home video I think they can make sure its shot in the best possible format and in full screen

Re: Star Trek Into Darkness out on Blu-ray/DVD September 10th [spoiler

I believe the biggest issue with IMAX (aside for additional cost) is that it gets in the way of the acting. The cameras are much louder IIRC, which means they're typically best suited for action scenes without a lot of on-screen dialog. Which makes it well suited for Transformers, since the story comes second to the action, but Star Trek is very much story based and using the louder cameras would require re-recording most of the dialog in a studio.

The cameras are also very bulky and not suitable for tighter spaces. If all your action is outdoors (in reality or virtually), that's fine--but in close quarters, it becomes rather cumbersome.

I understand the cameras are bulky and loud and undoubtedly a pain in the arse... but I want that IMAX picture quality all the time damnit! Get it done, Make it so etc.

I popped into the blu-ray.com forum thread about this blu-ray and noticed many positive comments about STID with the odd Trekkie complaint. A lot of people out there really enjoyed this movie !

How does IMAX compare to 4K. In 2 years, it may be reasonable to film the threequel in 4K, but who knows.
