So, tonight's ep, no one? No one?

I'm watching it right now. OMG! This ep is on FIRE! I even like Reece! REECE!

The dialogue is whip smart and fast. The characters are working their butts off, as are the actors driving them. The behind the scenes of the election coverage is great. The dodgy saring as report arc is in the background, and it leaves usd in a cliffhanger!

Best ep so far for me.

Opinions?

Was watching the Dallas/NY game. I suspect others might have as well. Will be looking at it soon. Loved seeing Eli cry like a little bitch. Manning that is, not Thompson.

My new can't-miss series (given the GoT hiatus). Season 2 been stonking so far.

Even though it was so dramatic with everyone trying to get fired and being in deep legal trouble the episode had a lot of hilarious scenes, e.g. the beginning with Will responsible for morale and everything with Sloan in it.

I'm not sure what Will was up to at the end. Is he trying to deliberately scre up the show so he'll get fired? It also looks as if we might be headed for some sort of resolution regarding Will and Mac's relationship.

I do hope that nobody gets fired in the end but that we'll see them all again for a third season. I love this show a lot.

Re: And now The Newsroom....

Good episode but, really, the 2012 election cycle is what the season was about instead of this nonsense with the Genoa storyline we knew was going to go nowhere. I'm surprised it took so much for them to notice the discontinuity in the play clock on the game as soon as we were shown the game was going to be in the shot I knew that'd be the undoing of the whole thing through some discontinuity and, of course, I knew it'd finally happen in this episode with Mac (a middle-aged woman who has certainly seen American professional sports in her life especially if she once dated Will) asking about the timers on the game Will was watching.

And finally an episode with some more Will being Will in it and some great stuff with him. Too bad it took nearly the whole damn season for him to really "be there" as -as I've said before- he's been too in the background this season.

And yay for more Sorority Girl!

I just wish the season spent more time making commentary on the 2012 election and other events of that time frame rather than this Genoa thing. I mean the "Other 47%" thing was glanced at this episode and, heck, a lot could have been said about the debate performances and the whole "Dropping the mike" moment for Obama in the second debate.

This season has let me down, really, after the first.

You do understand that there's one episode left to this season.

Time to find a new can't miss series.

Oh, I know there's one more episode to go. Still, that one episode isn't going to make up for the fact that this is pretty much what the season should have been doing all along instead of this Genoa BS and an odd time-line that'd make Doctor Who scratch his head. (So NOW Maggie has the cropped red hair.)

Re: And now The Newsroom....

I think I had this page open for a very long time, hours, before I posted what I posted.

But my comment was actually directed towards Lurok's trumpet hoot that this is his must-watch-TV-show that will tide him over till Game of Thrones comes back.

I think it's likely during this time you were just staring at your screen while "It's a Small World" repeated on a loop in your head before you heard the NBC jingle, snapped back into your level of "reality" and then continued on your way. But this is based simply on the way you post. I'd call this a Simple Guy Gardener Seizure.

You could have something there.

Sometimes get caught up looking at my feet as I struggle to accept that they're probably the only parts of my body good looking enough to be in porno.

I've found the jumping around the timeline to be perfectly understandable.

Also: Dollars to donuts the season finale will be about or include in some way the mass killings at Sandy Hook.

Unless they save that for the Season 3 premiere, and use it as a springboard for an overarching theme of domestic terrorism for the entire season (Sandy Hook, Boston Marathon, etc)

You mean the Genoa stuff that fueled nearly every single aspect of this episode?
