Looks like STID is re-releasing in IMAX next week here in Singapore.
Wonder if there are re-releases in other places.

here in usa they are doing a double feature of WorldWarZ and Into Darkness with a special ticket price. I am not sure if it is imax or some other format. I think it is more for the benefit of WorldWarZ than trek but certainly helps all round. They are not going to turn down more money.

I am disappointed with Japan box office. I expected more from them. Only $4,166,687.
They are smart people, they knew the movie wasn't going to be as good as TWOK.

Most of them have likely never seen The Wrath of Khan. Just because Trek fans are OCD about it doesn't mean general audiences are.

I see they did a 60/40 split with World War Z instead of 50/50. Well, that's fine. They were determined to get World War Z to 200 million, by hook or by crook.

Actually, if you look at the full weekend chart and check the theater counts, WWZ was in almost 300 more theaters overall than Trek. Only certain chains were showing the double feature.

STID made the most on a Tuesday since July 17th. Up 392% from last week.

Just saw the 9 pm show in IMAX in Singapore. About 15 people in the theatre, its a small theatre. Not terrible for an old movie on a Thursday night.

Yes, that's what I meant. 1247 vs. 958.

And Into Darkness exits stage left.... 800 theaters yanked out from under it.

Hope the Japan numbers gave it a nice boost.
