Kickstarter: Cinefex Classic Collection for iPad (Trek-related)

Hello,

I don't know if anyone here already knows about this, but there's a Kickstarter project to digitize all the back issues of the VFX mag Cinefex for iPad: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...sic-collection

This is related to Trek because all the Trek films save for TWOK were covered in Cinefex (there's some story as to why a TWOK article was never printed).

If you pledge $35, you get all 12 issues with Trek coverage, including the first two issues, which went out of print in the early 80s and are quite rare. (I got my copy of #1 for something like $300 on eBay, after a protracted bidding war. I don't think it goes for THAT much nowadays, but still...)

If you pledge $285 you can get the first 127 issues (for comparison, it cost me at least 3 times as much to accumulate the first fifty-something issues).

They need $217,500 by Friday, August 16, and as I'm posting this they're about $37,000 away.

Just wanted to put the word out for those of you who are into VFX and have an iPad.
