Re: Janeway's Children

So was it a prime directive violation when they were evicted from Paris's penis and migrated into Janeway's fanny?

I think that the Maquis have proved that the Prime Directive deos not apply to humans.

Even Humans held tide by Cardassian Law.

Also consider TNG Masterpiece Society.

That could have gone very dark very quickly if the Supermen closed their borders.

Re: Janeway's Children

What I wouldn't give to have Kirsten Beyer bring the babes back in a book.

BUT WAIT!!! Apparently there will be something connected to a distress call that happened in Season 2 in the new VOY book and Threshold is from season 2!!!!!!!!!!!

Was there a distress call in Threshold? Even if there wasn't this could still be it.

Re: Janeway's Children

The word distress appeared twice in season 2.

Lifesigns.

Basics Part 1.

For the all other uses of the word distress in all seven seasons...

What about Beacon?

Manoeuvres.

Paturation.

Sacred Ground.

(But what about Signal?)

Manoeuvres (again)

Innocence.

Paturation.

dreadnought.

Sacred Ground.

Deadlock (This one could be promising?)

Cold fire.

Initiations

Ah, come on! "Threshold" was just a nightmare Janeway had after eating too much of Neelix's food. Maybe he served Salamander Stew that day.

They should have mentioned her cousin Lycy Janeway instead.

Initiations was directed by Winrich Kolbe who used to be KM's boyfriend..

I'm thinking Kirsten Beyer has put this breadcrumb trail together and made a perfect pudding, she's just sitting there giggling over how we will piece it all together once the book comes out and see how the clues to this being ALL about the Threshold babies were there from the beginning.

I just want to know why "hyper-evolved human" so closely resembles a lizard and not some bipedal? They're like de-evolved Voth.

Evolution is not linear. An amphibian is no more or less evolved than a human. Part of why this episode is so ridiculous.

It would have been against the prime directive to remove them from their natural habitat.

Was that their natural habitat? Or some random planet they came to?

because the person who wrote the episode has no idea about evolution

Re: Janeway's Children

Evolution makes you compatible with your environment.

Evolution has not noticed that Man is in space.

Evolution still thinks it's the 17th century mostly.

In all honest I actually kind of like Threshold. If you overlook the lizard part, the warp 10 parts were interesting

because man has been in space for a fraction of a second in the evolution time line. If we spend more time in space over the next 100,000 years we might evolve to bette suite zero gravity

the interesting thing about humans and evolution is that yes, evolution makes animals better suited to their environment. But, modern humans are now modifying their environment to better suit us with heating and air conditioning.

Re: Janeway's Children

Terraforming vs humanaforming.

They are not going to evolve as long as everywhere they go, they use so much technology to make everything seem like Earth standard.

Of course, the Q were petrified (unless that was all just a lark) about how quickly man was "evolving".
