Why can't she wear a leotard? If superhero chicks can't wear leotards anymore what the hell is this country coming to?

MCU has been pretty good about making the costumes pretty believable. The only one who wears something that is a costume in-universe is Cap. The leather and such that the SHIELD folk wear is borderline costumey, but well within tolerances. I'd rather they stuck with that pattern and only gave costumes to people who would reasonably go out of their way to make such a thing (or can be explained away by being from an alternate dimension).

I'm pretty disappointed too But then again, Venardhi does make a point, one that I never really thought about before.

Whedon promises "huge" part for Black Widow in A:AoU.

I've a feeling she'll be in something similar to the Black Widow's uniform only in red. There might be some seams or piping to suggest the "bathing suit" portion of her classic costume. Not sure how they can work a variation of the head dress into the costume. I wonder if they'll give her a central or eastern European accent? Nightcrawler is the only Marvel character I can think of to retain his accent in a film. (at least on the heroside)

Didn't ScarJo use a Russian accent in Iron Man 2? I haven't seen it in a while but I seem to recall her doing it, because when Avengers rolled around I thought it was funny that she dropped the accent already.

It was really weird, it only sounded Russian in one scene, completely out of the blue.

Well she wouldn't be a very good spy if she couldn't change her accent.

They had a story about this on IGN, and they mentioned this Ultimate costume, and I could see her wearing something pretty similar to that in the MCU. Or maybe something like this 616 costume.

I can't see either one working in the MCU. The first one is appropriate for a girls night out at a club. The second one seems impractical for action-adventure.

Superhero costumers tend to be pretty silly. But as long as they don't put nipples on the suit, it should be fine.

The MCU has been pretty "grounded" for the most part. Even Thor and Cap are less leotard and more body armor.

There are plenty of things they can do with realistic clothing to get across the idea that she's a witch. Just have her dress like Stevie Nicks or something.

Just have SW wear a red pointy hat and red robes.
