Monday 02nd September 2013 for the UK. I'd be so pissed off if there was a delay with delivery by post, so I'll make the effort and be waiting outside my local HMV as the shutters go up!
How the hell is the UK getting if before the US? Was it released in cinema's earlier then the US as well for you guys?
Yep, a week early in cinemas too!

Just for fun, I emailed Universal Netherlands, since I'm directed to their website if I select The Netherlands as my country on Paramount.com

Anyway, liked I said, I mailed for shits and giggles, telling them how disappointed I was that there's a month delay between release in the US and the Netherlands, and that it really is a bad marketing strategy, since people would probably download it from the internet. FYI, I wouldn't since I really want to own this one BluRay. That it would be in their best interest to release it on the same day as the US.

Now, ofcourse that's not going to make any difference whatsoever. I am, however, very curious as to what their reply will be.

^ Mage, why don't you just import the UK Blu? I'd imagine delivery to The Netherlands from here would be a matter of days.

I might, I'll just see what I'll do when the time comes.

Hmm, I do love my Steelbook Blu-ray's, and Amazon are doing a UK exclusive... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Star-Trek-In...+into+darkness

However, I'm not sure I like the cover image that much. The Cumberbatch poster is easily my least favoured promo for the movie. Of course, Steelbooks are quite collectable. Decisions, decisions...

LMFAO!!!
I mailed Universal Netherlands this week, complaining about the month delay between release in the US and release in the Netherlands, never thinking I'd get a reply. Which I didn't.

However, Bol.com is now showing a release-date of 09-11, a day after the US, and this three days after my mail.
I have no illusions what so ever that that is because of my mail, but I am damned happy though.

Speaking of special features, I'd love to hear what Chris and Zach have to say about filming the death scene. Those guys blew me away with that!

Does anyone know if the aspect ratio of the STID Blu-Ray will "open up" to 16:9 for the IMAX filmed sequences, like 'The Dark Knight'?

I certainly hope so. All IMAX films should do that.
