Re: ENTER | TV & Media Avatar Contest | Puppets

Since Marionettes are allowed, I'll have to go with this one.

It won't get many votes (if any), but it's such a big part of my childhood, and ultimately my person, that I can't go any other way. For those not knowing (which is propably the majority), it's Jim Button, Luke the Engine Driver and Mr. Tur Tur the mock giant from JIM KNOPF UND LUKAS DER LOKOMOTIVFÜHRER by the Augsburger Puppenkiste, based on the book by Michael Ende (you should know his NEVER-ENDING STORY, or at least the movie adaptation).

That needs to be resized to fit with the board's avatar requirements: dimensions no larger than 150 x 150 pixels, and file size no larger than 140 KB.

You're right though...I think this will be one tough contest!

Yep, and proud of it. But you're probably right. It still doesn't stop me from posting things that others wouldn't recognize. Gotta figure out what I'll use now.

Oh and I guess I should take the time to point out as a little bit of trivia that Mr Rogers was friends with Mr Dressup. In fact, they started at the same place and Mr Rogers later went across the border to start his own show.

And I'll vote for the Puppet Angel if it (sorry, if he) ends up in the poll!

I don't see why puppet Angel wouldn't work. He's certainly an actual puppet, not like the metaphorical one in Chicago. Plus, it will probably get a lot of votes, too.

Last call for entries! I'll post the voting thread tomorrow.

And I'll allow the puppet Angel.
