I'm actually going to be there for once - I had a Convention the next day in London - and was able to get a ticket for the Prom too. Gonna be a hot day though...

I'm not certain of the validity of this report, but the next Doctor may be revealed tonight at the Proms.

Some nice live prerformances of clasic era scores on right now - The Daleks, Tomb, Sea Devils, City of Death, and currently Logopolis. Presumably about to go into Davison, Clin and Sylv... oh, Five Doctors just starting!

Akhaten was the outro for the interval, sounded excellent

Out of curiosity, did they actually get Emilia Jones (the little girl who played Merry) to sing it? Or did they use another singer?

I'm afraid they didn't, it was a duet with Allan Clayton and Kerry Ingram.

Also the classic Who section was a real treat, hearing the synthesized scores with a full blown orchestra was brilliant!

Finally managed to give it a listen. http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/player/b036ts7t?t=0.362

It was rather heartwarming hearing the crowds reaction to Peter Davison and Carol Ann Ford.
