Re: RPG Recruitment Thread

The Last Outpost RPG-X:

What is RPG-X?

RPG-X is your story, your characters, your ship, your plot, your world of Star Trek placed in an easy to download, ALWAYS free program. RPG-X not only allows you to take control of your own ship, it allows you to take control of your own crew as you lead them on a journey bounded only by your imagination Only with The Last Outpost can you experience a new realm of Role play.

What is The Last Outpost?

The Last Outpost is a group that nurtures your ideas, and builds them up into an enjoyable, memorable role playing experience. Here, as a member of a tight-knit community, you will not only learn how to master RPG-XCE, you will discover how to effectively bring your story to life, lead others and create your own Star Trek Universe.

I've been in gaming clans before. What makes The Last Outpost different?

For one, The Last Outpost is not a gaming clan. We have no arbitrary rank system based on time spent in the group, so once you're in, your voice is as valuable to us as anyone else's. Secondly, since we are not a gaming clan, we have absolutely no problem with you being a member in any other clan, fleet, guild etc. TLO was created a a community designed around having fun without the unnecessary drama that surrounds most gaming clans.

Wait, what is rpgxCE?

It is a free, legal, and extremely easy-to-learn program that will allow you to bring your story to life. With an infinite number of addons, you can create your ultimate universe. What was once a mod to the classic Star Trek: Voyager Elite Force is now standalone and downloadable by anyone. . This package will allow you to connect to our servers, participate in our RPs and, perhaps, lead one yourself.

Do I actually get my own crew, or are they just NPCs like in most games?

You get your own crew, played by living breathing people who you can interact with in real time. No static conversations like with NPCs, instead you can explore the dynamic history of each of your crew mates without ever running out of things to talk about like you would in Mass Effect or STO (Star Trek Online).

This sounds great! How can I join?

It is really simple. Go to http://www.last-outpost.net and click on Forums. Then Click to Join. Register to the forums, and then fill out an application form. Then that's it; you will be welcomed as a full member of the TLO community

It's that simple. Join today, for a lifetime of fun!
If you have any questions regarding to this don't hesitate to contact me.

Re: RPG Recruitment Thread

The year is 2395.

The Federation is being torn apart by war, it is on the verge of collapse and we risk losing everything that we all hold dear.

The Romulan Empire was nearly decimated by the explosion of their sun which lead to the destruction of Romulus. The Federation was severely crippled from the battles fought in the Dominion War, additionally when they lost Deep Space Nine to the Dominion, which was later destroyed, to prevent Captain Sisko from retaking it. As well as the last Borg invasion at sector 001, where the USS Enterprise - E was lost with all hands back in the late twenty first century as they scarified the ship and their lives to save the Earth and to protect the Federation.

During this time, the Klingons seized upon the 'glorious' opportunity and turned on their former allies to fight for the dominance of the Alpha Quadrant as they had always dreamed of, but could never achieve before. The badly crippled Romulan Empire is unable to defend themselves against the Klingon onslaught and Starfleet is being forced back to defend it's core worlds, but is slowly being ripped apart by the brutal Klingon advance.

From the ashes of what remains of Starfleet, the phoenix has risen again. Atlantis Fleet has born in the Federation's greatest hour of need.

Atlantis Fleet is Starfleet's last defense force and symbolizes the last chance humanity has left. Charged with the defense of what is left of the neutral zones and the Federation core world's, this Fleet's mission is no easy task, it has been given some of the most powerful ships remaining within Starfleet to help defend the Federation.

The USS Blackwater is one of those ships, a brand new Prometheus Class Starship tasked with winning the war. Engineer's at Starfleet headquarters have outfitted her with the best technologies and weapons available, along with a new system to allow the ship to win any battle.

The new Multi Vector Assault Mode, or MVAM, separates the Blackwater into three sections which are designed to function individually or as part of a team. Each segment is armed to the max to ensure victory every time.

Under the command of Captain Zach Martin, the crew of the Blackwater's will complete it's mission, a simple mission that is shared by every remaining Starfleet ship and Officer. Protect the Federation at all costs, win the war and save as many worlds as possible.

Atlantis Fleet is the last hope for the Federation. The answer to all civilizations who cry out for peace. The Light in the Darkness. A beacon of hope.

"It's always Darkest just before the Dawn."
In it's darkest hour, Starfleet is calling to every man and woman that will join its ranks, to help protect the Federation against the latest threat we face. Command has just dispatched the USS Blackwater to serve as part of Atlantis fleet, to add to the growing beacon of hope and to help push back the endless march of the Klingon Empire.

Currently, all positions except X.O, CMO, CFO and MCO are available to be staffed by any willing soul that will join the cause. Starfleet needs good people to help win this war, are you one of those people? If so then head over to USS Blackwater Website and sign the enlistment form, become a member of the USS Blackwater and help the Federation in its time of need.

We need you to crew this ship, The Federation needs you to win this war, The people need you to save them. Will you do this?

Also, check out http://www.atlantisfleet.com for more available ships to join

Re: RPG Recruitment Thread

Are you burned out on Trek Simming because you:

--are required to simm according to someone else's excessive limits?

--are frustrated with bureaucracies, politics, stifling rules, and punishments?

--have to write long proposals to a command structure for one small change on your ship, or to promote an excellent player?

--are told you can’t play the character you have written with for 5 years because he or she is too high in rank and you don’t want to demote them?

--have to have a certain number of players on your game, and a certain level of activity? waste valuable time filing monthly reports rather than actually playing?

We at The Ninth Fleet are all Trek simming veterans and have all been there, and we say ‘no’ to this!

The Ninth Fleet is currently seeking new and experienced writers and gamers to fill positions aboard various Star Trek simms!

The Ninth Fleet operates in distinct groups, in separate unique universes. One may have a tie to each other due to the same creator, while others do not. It depends on the person whom originally created it and how the COs feel. If the group does not want it, we do not force it upon them. That's not how we do things around here.

The universe is a vast place, comprising of stars, galaxies... everything we can perceive. But the multiverse is infinitely larger. Many different theories exist as to if there are different universes or parallel worlds, but as to whether they will exist or not is something we have to ask ourselves if we believe in.

Fiction is one example of this concept. An alternate timeline (or to use a term that fits with the theory alternate universe) is one that we explore as a work of writing, exploring out with going to new worlds in a television series or expanding our minds in a book. It is not us that goes through these events, but rather the shadows of ourselves or someone completely different from us, from an established universe. It is up to us to establish this world in our minds, even expand upon it and, if we want to, write more and share it.

The Ninth Fleet is founded in this theory.

Imagine, if you will, an organization that, no matter what the universe, no matter what the time, exists in some form or another. It is something that seems so innocuous, so small, but is somewhere around there, always there to support those that need it and help others that may not.

We are the ones you work with when things are down, when the cards are out.

We are the Ninth Fleet.

Whether it is a small organization of surface ships, a group of special operations, or a large space fleet of epic proportions, we are there. When you need recruits or new people, we will support you. When you need to have your ship refitted or new equipment, we will support you.

You are not alone.

Redemption Awaits You....

Redemption

Commissioned after the sins of the Dominion War, Redemption sits quiet and dark in spacedock as a new Commanding Officer is assigned and her refit is completed. Assigned to Task Force 93 of the 4th Fleet (Bravo Fleet) she is one of the newest Galaxy Class ships and filled with as much new technology that can be fitted to the timeless starship design.

Her mission will be to not only reestablish a Federation presence space nearly abandoned during the war and rebuilding years but to push farther and deeper into unexplored space. To do what Starfleet has long worked towards in the decade since the war: go where none have gone before.

She is redemption for a Federation pushed into war that did whatever it took to merely survive

As she awaits her crew Commander Anna McCormick is informed of what will the ships first assignment: track down the fugitive Dr. Fiona Balm and her followers hidden deep within the Briar Patch. Sentenced to a life in prison for attempting to alter the human genome to create the ‘perfect’ human she amassed a small group of followers and managed to escape prison. As she descends further into her own madness that crew of the Redemption will soon discover the true nature of her work.

[FONT=Calibri]We are a play by NOVA simulation in Task Force 93. The website is in a fairly rough state and is currently experiencing a hickup or two but can be found at http://redemption.site40.net/[FONT=Calibri]. We are looking for every position besides CO. Re: RPG Recruitment Thread

Star Trek: The Devil’s Door is a prime universe rp forum based in the year 2385. Bajor is near to joining the Federation but their blood feud with Cardassia, who the Federation is helping to rebuild, stands in their way. In the midst of the politlcal intrigue, a new threat dances on the far side of the wormhole in the Gamma Quadrant. Someone is destroying outposts and communities without a trace. This invisible threat has triggered an investigation on Starfleets part. Captain Picard and a crack team have been ordered to the Gamma Quadrant to investigate. Admiral Janeway has been given command of Deep Space Nine to fine tune the politcal drama and spearhead investigation and exploration. We are open to originals and canons. Three areas of play; DS9, USS Enterprise, & the USS Robinson. The ships will consistently dock at Deep Space Nine.

The Robinson still needs a chief engineer. Many positions still available aboard the Enterprise and DS9

We just need 3 more people to round out our roster before we go begin out first mission.

We are looking for:

- Chief Security/Tactical Officer (High Priority)
- Chief Science Officer (High Priority)
- Chief Medical Officer (High Priority)
- Chief Conn Officer
- Chief Operations Officer

In the aftermath of Hobus, Romulans struggle for control over their empire, turning inward and closing their borders, forsaking vulnerable border worlds to gain a small measure of security. Klingon glory-seekers, Romulan rogues, Orion pirates, and alien opportunists threaten the security and stability of these territories. Starfleet sends an Excalibur-class starship as a show of the Federation’s commitment to defend and police this volatile region. The crew has taken up Excalibur to forge a new future, to bring back peace and cooperation to a volatile and untrusting galaxy. To defend what was and the dream of what could be. I am Commander Jaxcen Elhaym. I command the starship Excalibur.

Next Mission: When Excalibur visits a former Romulan colony world substantive Debrune ruins become available for study. The Debrune were an ancient civilization that departed Vulcan during the Time of Awakening. What secrets lay buried there, and are the Romulans willing to share them?

Excalibur is a Star Trek themed free-form play-by-forum role-playing simulation assigned to Task Force 93, Bravo Fleet, along the Romulan Neutral Zone in the prime universe following the destruction of Romulus. We require defenders of peace and champions of freedom in these tumultuous times. Answer the call of destiny, join us today!

Urgently needed personnel:
Chief Tactical/Security Officer
Chief Operations Officer
Chief Engineering Officer
Chief Science Officer
Chief Medical Officer
Ship's Counselor
And more…

The Plot unfolds. Destiny awaits. The adventure is only beginning!

We have filled the position of Chief Medical Officer but we still need a few more as we ramp up to our first mission: hunting down and capturing the brilliant geneticist Fiona Balm, who is seeking to 'purify' the human species by altering each and every Human on the genetic level and create 'perfection'. As the crew of Redemption hunts her down they will find out just how far she has descended into her own madness.
