"sorry..."

I do think most viewers are inattentive that speaking the obvious allows stupid people to enjoy the show also.

I think that all of the characters made these statements from time to time.

You´re right. But with Worf it´s really obvious.

"Nice legs ... for a human."

I always thought that was Riker's deal. Data lays out the technical details, then Riker translates it for the audience... i even wrote one into my spec script. They always make me laugh.
The instance that stands out most for me was from First Contact: Picard stands up and dramatically announces "They're creating a temporal vortex!" Whereupon Riker immediately springs up from his chair, his shoulders occupying every corner of the screen, and bellows "Time travel!" for the benefit of nobody else on the bridge!

^At least he didn't try thrusting his pelvis toward Data's head.

I can't believe I just typed that.

Troi is by far the biggest offender.

Worf's one liners are hilarious

'There is a female voice asking if we want ...room service'

'Tell her no'

'NO!' (slams down telephone)

I just got a good laugh watching "Data's Day", when he shows Data champagne glasses at the replicator console and says, "My adoptive parents often give these...things...at family weddings." Great delivery.

Re: Worf's Propensity For Stating the Obvious

The most hilarious Worf moment ever (at least on TNG, there are many other great moments on DS9 as well) is in 'The Dauphin' in season 2. Anya orders Pulaski to kill a sick patient. And turns into a huge bug eyed monster which Worf grapples with for a few seconds, until a few non SAG security guards show up and strike dramatic poses. Worf waits til she morphs back into an elderly lady before he decides to try to hit her. It's freaking hilarious!

Also, Troi was definitely the master of the 'No shit, Sherlock' moment

^Well geez, if we're talking "The Dauphin", that's got a far more classic Worf moment...his explanation of Klingon mating rituals to Wesley.
