SF/F Avatar Contest: ...To Absent Friends.

Although he wasn't a genre star, the passing of James Gandolfini brought this one to mind...

This week's theme is ...To Absent Friends -- sf/f characters portrayed by actors who have moved on to the next plane of existence.

Here's mine, one of the obvious choices:



Standard av requirements apply, of course. I'll look to have the voting start by the end of the weekend.

We're gonna get at least 8 votes, right? This one's gonna be tough

Right now, there's only 1 or 2 that I can leave out of the top 3-4, and even that is a little painful.

I have no idea how I'm going to narrow it down to less than 6 even with only these entries, and there's still plenty of time for more entries.

^that's Michael Gambon, who is very much alive.

THIS is the late Richard Harris as Dumdledore. Sir Michael Gambon is a rather husky gentleman while the late Mr. Harris was always very slender.
