IKRAN-class - break on through!

My latest project - again, one of those things that just popped into my head one night and I started modeling, without any real plan, just an architecture idea.

And a short turntable animation ...

The idea is that this is a Mirror Universe design, late TOS timeframe, that slipped through the barrier and was subsequently captured by a Starfleet vessel. They converted it and put it into service, and duplicated it a couple times - they're used as diplomatic transports in areas that are considered potentially dangerous.

Or something like that . It's not influenced by the Romulan design - it just came from a similar mindset when the Terran Empire needed a design to keep the systems in line

A license from me . Believe me, I'm already working on that .

What I'm doing is having it printed in parts, to make a kit for casting, but I'm also looking into the practicality of offering it as a one-piece, printed on demand; I just finished up the first production files this past week.

Re: IKRAN-class - break on through!

You know if you drop the Bird of Prey elements, a design similar to this would have made a *great* NX-Class design!

Something like this or a bigger version of the Archer Class would have made an awesome Enterprise NX-01...

Anybody wanna make one? (I don't have the skills...)

Does it "Fly By Night"? Or is this one of those "Grand Designs"?

Fly by night, away from here
Change my life again
Fly by night, goodbye my dear
My ship isn't coming and I just can't pretend

TOS Display Base

Great for 'action figure' images, and also for displaying your virtual starships .

I hadn't noticed that . The central fuselage and superstructure remind me of a Russian Alpha sub, however.
