This thread is just for announcements. For discussion, you might want to start a separate thread just about your project.

Well, this is a little big different.

It's a parody of Star Trek using the minecraft engine. Not for everyone, but I think it's funny.

Re: Fan Production Submissions

I humbly submit a little comedy webseries called Red Shirts. We have two episodes online and a teaser trailer found here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBl74PMcqIk

Our YouTube Channel is here (website pending):

http://www.youtube.com/user/RedShirt...?feature=watch

The title about says it all, but we are not a direct parody of Star Trek but an universe much like it. The show focuses on 3 lowly crew members and their attempt to live, work and, yes, survive on board a starship.

The show stars Nick Armstrong (Parks & Rec), Shannon McKain (Transformers: Rescue Bots), Arnie Pantoja (Hamlet 2) with guest stars Deanna Russo (Being Human, Knight Rider), Meghan Falcone (The Jos Schmo Show, Californication) and more!

Hope you like it!

Re: Fan Production Submissions

Ryan, I have not yet watched your films (I run Star Trek Reviewed, and I have many hundreds in the same boat... I not a big fan of comedy generally, it's not personal). I currently have you here: http://startrekreviewed.blogspot.com/2009/06/210.html under (P). My question is (I haven't time to watch this today)... does this story end with Part 2, or is there of Part 3 ... 4 etc. before you start another story? I give filmmakers a Headline at the top of my website when they complete a full story over 10 minutes long. They also get their own dedicated page. Please let me know!

Re: Fan Production Submissions

Hey Barbreader,

The first two episodes are connected, then the first season opens up to more self-contained stories. We should have our third episode out in a couple weeks and it furthers the adventures of our three main characters. That probably means we don't quite make your 10 minute limit, but that's the truth!

Sorry you're not a big fan of comedy, but we hope to win you over anyway!

Thanks,

Ryan

Re: Fan Production Submissions

The ten minutes can be a total for more than one film. I'll have to watch this and figure out if the second part has some kind of ending so I can give you a Headline and a dedicated page yet. The two parts are more than long enough for a Headline, and your total releases are enough for your own page, as long as there's a full story there. Sorry for not just getting it done. I'm under a lot of pressure this week with my own life.

Re: Fan Production Submissions

Red Shirt Series is now the Headline at Star Trek Reviewed, http://startrekreviewed.blogspot.com...onth-only.html and has a permanent page here: http://startrekreviewed.blogspot.com/2009/06/53.html . I can drive more traffic to your website if you send me some jpegs to brighten your headline and page.

Re: Fan Production Submissions

All you Klingons in your grandma's house I made another TNG machinima episode. If you happen to remember the last one you'll probably also remember it was kind of silly, but this time I was really driven by something, I don't want to say "message" but I really felt those words once uttered by Rod Serling: "I could have aliens say things that Democrats and Republicans couldn't."

So check it out if you have time. It's called "Blinded", it's 25 minutes long and don't forget to switch on HD.
