ENTER - TV/Media Av Contest: All the President's Men

I attended my brother's college graduation (his second, actually) last weekend, and the commencement speaker was Carl Bernstein, legendary investigative reporter who was half of the Washington Post team who investigated the Watergate break-in and the chain of scandals that ultimately led to the resignation of President Nixon.

No, don't worry, I'm not going to make you do screencaps from All the President's Men (though it really is an excellent movie).

Rather, this week's theme will be "The President's Men" — men and women, real* and fictional, who work to serve the highest office in the land. Given the number of films and TV series that have involved the White House, there's plenty of material to work with.

As usual, the avatar rules apply (dimensions no larger than 150 pixels square, file size no larger than 140KB). Because of the holiday this weekend (for those of us in the U.S.), the deadline will be next Tuesday at 12 noon ET.

*in the case of real historical individuals, I'm looking for portrayals by actors, not documentary footage. Stephen Culp playing Bobby Kennedy in Thirteen Days is okay; the real Bobby Kennedy isn't.

It is a great movie. However, I could have done without Dustin Hoffman. Frankly, I think he's more entertaining in a dress.

Huh, I liked him in that. I generally much prefer him playing a "regular" person like The Graduate or Kramer vs Kramer or Straight Time than when he has a "gimmick" like in Midnight Cowboy, Tootsie or Rainman.

Anyway, Scientific Adviser to President Merkin Muffley:
