Yes, Both JG and Phillips will will play different characters other than Martok and Neelix. Picardo will play Doctor Zimmerman, not the EMH. Still this is one on the closest things you will get to a Voyager movie with, Russ, Phillips, Wang, Picardo and Manu (also JG and Graham had guest staring roles in Voyager).

Re: Star Trek: Renegades

So that's 6 actors reprising roles which isn't bad going (Chekov, Tuvok, Kim, Zimmerman, Icheb and Adm Paris).

For the fact fans, in OGAM you brought back Chekov, Tuvok, Uhura, Harriman, Rand, Stonn, T'Pring (7) all played by their original actors, plus original actors playing new characters and a couple of recasts.

Renegades is a lot less of a nostalgia fest.

Hopefully the returning actors from the 24th century shows are playing their actual characters from the shows and not new ones.
Yes, they are playing their original characters. BTW, we are now on IMDB:

What about Ethan "the Fixer" Phillips?

Re: Star Trek: Renegades

We entered it in IMDB ourselves, so everything would be accurate.

fair enough, just a couple or random castings I was not sure about, Manu Intiraymi (Icheb) for example.

Turned into a right Star Trek Voyager fan film.

Like the idea of Picardo as Zimmerman.

Yeah, Zimmerman's a smart idea - I was wondering how they'd explain an ageless hologram having aged a decade.

(then again, just look at Q!)

Really looking forward to this.

Watching the trailer I am kinda curious about one thing. Was any thought given to making Chekov look older?

It was mentioned that this takes place post-Voyager, which means that it would be sometime after, say, 2380? That makes Chekov at least 140 years old by that point. A couple of years older than McCoy was in TNG's premier.

Not a complaint. Just curious.

I think Chekov looks perfect. His real age and the shaved head serve him well for the role. I think that having old age makeup like what McCoy had in TNG would be too distracting.

Maybe being exposed to and cured of that aging sickness in the "Deadly Years" have changed his aging process.

Weren't they all exposed to that?

At any rate, it doesn't matter. Was just something that caught my attention.

Maybe McCoy aged so badly because of his refusal to use the transporter, lol.

Re: Star Trek: Renegades

If McCoy, the oldest of the TOS crew (or was that Scotty?) can live to be 140+ in "Farpoint", and if Jonathan Archer is said to still be around at about the same age in the last movie, then I have no problem with Chekov being alive in the TNG era too.

You just kind of have to forget that how old everyone looked in STVI, Generations and Of Gods and Men.
