If you've got time before you go, I highly suggest checking out the Exploratorium. Easily one of my favorite places/activities in the city.

Re: Visiting San Francisco

I just got back from lunch with two dear friends at a restaurant in San Francisco, along the Embarcadero. If anyone wants to try this place, I would highly recommend it.

Their menu isn't as varied as some of the other places I've tried, but they have some pretty good selections. Today I tried the Grilled Monterey Squid and had a delicious strawberry-and-pudding dessert. The service is very friendly and efficient, and the items are reasonably priced. It's got a perfect view of the Bay Bridge and is stone's throw away from the water, hence the name.

The weather is absolutely gorgeous in the City today, and I never tire of checking out the guys/tourists.

That place looks pretty cool. I always like to find a good science museum in cities I visit. What are some other good ones? Ideally with IMAX theaters?

The California Science Center in Los Angeles has an IMAX. It's right next door to the Coliseum.

^ Got it. Thanks for the tip. I see there's even a brand new subway line that goes down there. /squee

The Pittsburgh science museum is pretty nice, with an IMAX theatre.

^ You read my mind.

(I'll have ~three days in Pittsburgh so that is extra helpful)
