The Wright Way: new Ben Elton sitcom

Seems to have created a bit of a sh*tstorm on twitter, with people dumping on it left, right and centre. Don't know much about Elton bar reputation, but the episodes of Blackadder I've seen were pretty funny. So curious to see what all fuss was about.

Gah.

Unspeakably bad and unfunny.

Just curious if anyone else seen it.

Elton hasn't been on the cutting edge for nearly 2 decades, so this comes as no surprise to me. Popcorn was the last decent thing he wrote.

I mean, the guy wrote We Will Rock You.

Plus, he co-wrote Blackadder, with Richard Curtis. Maybe they should team up again to address each other's weak spots.

Thanks for that. I've always liked Mark Steel when seen him on panel shows, but never realised he disliked Elton that much! That Archer suck-up at the end is the icing on the cake though
