In the Chaplin video the person was using an old-school style hearing aid.

IIRC, it was newsreel footage of the premiere of a Chaplin film in 1928. The "time traveler" seemed to be a woman holding up a small clutch purse to shield her face from the camera. Just shy, I guess.

Most places I've seen say it's likely a Siemens electronic hearing-"aid."

LINK

Which is held similar to a present-day phone and has a -fairly- similar size and shape.

There's another vid that comes up in the options afterward, and a guy saying he weas involved in a DARPA experiment that proplelled him as a child back to watch the Gettysberg address. Yes folks, an authentic time traveller speaks. And he sounds so sincere. Look up Andrew D Basiago
As someone in the know about DARPA, I think most people would be sorely disappointed if they found out what DARPA really does.

I've never bought into the zanier and unprovable conspiracy theories about DARPA. The Black Helicopter community loves to spread X-Files type rumors about it and counts on the vast majority of the population to know little or nothing about government projects.

If he was really present at Gettysburg, ask him to tell us (without benefit of Google) who it was that bloviated for two hours before Lincoln's famous and pithy speech.

There was another one a few years ago, apparently in a trailer kind of thing for a Charlie Chaplin film. older lady walking past a theatre. Sure looked like the real deal.

There was also John Titor of early internet fame who claimed to be from 2036.

Titor used to be a frequent topic of discussion on the old Art Bell Coast to Coast AM late night radio show and he's still mentioned quite often in the George Noory era of the program. He's been the fodder for a lot of pretty wild theories.

They're not black. They're actually more of a dark charcoal-gray.

Shhhh! Don't say that. They'll start spinning inane conspiracy theories about that.

They'll say the government is in sinister league with Big Aircraft Color Scheme.

Would that be RGB, CMYK, Pantone, or Federal Standard?

Why, Pantone 18-0601X, of course! (The "X" in the code is a nice touch )
